Well, I hope you are having an excellent start to the week, welcome to a new post written by my favorite server, a couple of days ago I uploaded a video dedicated to the cousin of the most beloved plumber of all Wario, in that post I got to mention his saga of platform video games and I must admit that the games for the time were super cool.
In my childhood, this saga called Wario Land had a great influence and I got too many but too many hours of gameplay when I was little as I said. However, instead of talking about the whole saga in question, I will talk about a single installment that I enjoyed very much, it is by far my favorite game of the entire franchise and the hours I spent on it were incalculable.
Ladies and Gentlemen today we will talk about Wario Land 4, that's right gentlemen is the fourth installment of this Wario Land saga, during my childhood I played this game a lot on the Game Boy Advance emulator that was on my classic Xbox, in fact, I still have the saved game of those years, with several discs and some places yet to be discovered.
Wario Land 4 is a 2D platform game where the goal in each level is to press a kind of temporary levers represented as toad statues before we must find a key that will serve to open the room of the next level, this key is represented as a falcon head, the beak of the same will be the key, otherwise, we cannot advance in the game.
We must also find four Egyptian pieces, which form a diamond in each level, these diamonds will serve later to summon the last boss of the game, in the levels we will find collectible music discs, the songs are just random noises of things we have in everyday life, not even an instrument just sounds haha.
At the end of each level, we will find the temporary levers, when pressing them the game will give us time to finish leaving the level and sometimes to look for the key, I say sometimes because in some levels the key appears by chance in our way, but at other times the key appears when we operate the temporary lever being in a certain room, or may even be hidden in a far-fetched place.
The importance of the key is vital because it will allow us to advance between the different rooms of the ruins of the desert, we can pass the level without the key, but we can not move to the next room by the lock that has the door, then we must find the key in four different levels to face the boss of the area.
That's right, Wario Land 4 has in total four different zones during the game, these zones are classified as passageways, with a mineral in its name, these four passageways are the emerald passageway (green), the topaz passageway (yellow), the ruby passage (red) and the sapphire passage (blue), in this order also reflects the level of difficulty, in the green zone are the easiest levels, while the blue zone is the most difficult of the game, each of these areas has a corresponding Boss.
The green zone, for example, is represented with levels related to flora, fauna, and nature, we will be on beaches, nests, rainforests, huge trees, streams, rivers, and more things that have to do with the environment, these levels are the easiest, both their Egyptian pieces and music discs are green.
The yellow zone that would be the one that follows, is represented as a school zone for children, recreational areas such as a nursery or an art school, in this type of levels we will find toys and enemies that are toys, we will also see different puzzles along the journey that, if or if we must pass to continue advancing, some are very simple, what we need most is to have a good memory, the Egyptian pieces and discs are yellow.
Then comes the red zone, in my opinion, the third of the game, it is represented with levels of different industrial factories, so we will be in an appliance factory, as well as a robot factory, a car designer and exporter that is abandoned with a highly toxic odor and even a giant refrigerator that makes an illusion to an ice cream factory, we will have to use strategy and logic to complete these levels, the Egyptian pieces and discs are red.
Finally comes the blue zone which is the most difficult of the entire game, not even in 10 years of knowing this game I have been able to pass the first level, this area is represented by horror stories, we will be in cities full of ghosts, abandoned cities, cemeteries and even be inside a volcano, these levels are very treacherous because from time to time a ghost will appear that will want to take the key, that will delay us a lot, it can cost us the completion of the level.
Perfect now that I talk about the different levels of the game and the things we can find in them, now I want to talk about the gameplay on both PC and Xbox classic, to start the gameplay is very simple, Wario has about 4 movements more or less, which are the jump, the fist, the run, and the grip.
The jump is the easiest to deduce in Xbox I have it configured in the "A" button in pc as I have it configured with a PlayStation controller it would be in the "X" button, the first in Xbox is with "B" while in Pc with the controller I have it in "[]" the "Start" button in Xbox is in the "X" while in Pc I have it in the "Start" button, to make the run on Xbox is on the triggers "L" and "R" while on Pc I decided to set it on the "O" and triangle buttons as well as on "R1" and "L1".
If you ask me which of these ways of playing seems to be the most comfortable I would say that on PC with a PlayStation controller is more comfortable to play Wario Land 4 than on Xbox, the configuration of the controls plus the touch of that controller is more act to play not only this video game if not any of the Game Boy Advance, the advantage of the classic Xbox version is that we can use both crosshead and lever, but in the PlayStation controller is more comfortable to play with crosshead as it occupies all the space of the thumb.
To finish before facing the bosses of the game we have the opportunity to play a couple of mini-games, they are very fun and I always liked to play some of them after arriving at school when I was little, some of the mini-games that we can play are baseball which was hit the ball well at the right time, another one was jumping with a wheel over obstacles similar to the Dinosaur game when there is no internet and the last one I remember was a kind of roulette where we have to press at the right time to get the face of a character in the game, this last one was my favorite haha.

Sin embargo, en vez de hablar de toda la saga en cuestión hablaré de una sola entrega que disfruté muchísimo, por lejos es mi juego favorito de toda la franquicia y las horas que le dediqué fueron incalculables.
Damas y Caballeros hoy hablaremos de Wario Land 4, así es señores es la cuarta entrega de esta saga Wario Land, durante mi infancia jugué bastante este juego en el emulador de Game Boy Advance que estaba en mi Xbox clásico, de hecho, aun tengo la partida guardada de aquellos años, con varios discos y algunos sitios aún por descubrir.
Wario Land 4 es un juego de plataformas en 2D donde el objetivo en cada nivel es presionar una especia de palancas temporales representadas como estatuas de sapo, antes de ello debemos encontrar una llave que servirá para abrir la habitación del siguiente nivel, esta llave esta representada como una cabeza de halcón, el pico del mismo será la llave, de lo contrario no podremos avanzar en el juego.
También debemos encontrar cuatro piezas egipcias, que forman un rombo en cada nivel, estos rombos servirán más adelante para invocar al último jefe del juego, en los niveles encontraremos de forma coleccionable los discos de música, las canciones son simplemente ruidos aleatorios de cosas que tenemos en la vida cotidiana, ni siquiera un instrumento sólo sonidos jaja.
Al final de cada nivel encontraremos las palancas temporales, al presionarlas el juego nos dará un tiempo de terminado de salir del nivel y a veces para buscar la llave, digo algunas veces porque en algunos niveles la llave aparece de casualidad en nuestro camino, pero en otras ocasiones la llave aparece cuando accionamos la palanca temporal estando en una determinada habitación, o incluso puede estar oculta en un sitio rebuscado.
La importancia de la llave es vital porque nos permitirá avanzar entre las diferentes habitaciones de las ruinas del desierto, podemos pasar el nivel sin la llave, pero no podremos pasar a la siguiente habitación por la cerradura que tiene la puerta, entonces debemos encontrar la llave en cuatro niveles distintos para enfrentarnos al jefe de correspondiente a la zona.
Así es, Wario Land 4 tiene en total cuatro zonas distintas durante el juego, estas zonas están clasificadas como pasadizos, con un mineral en su nombre, estos cuatros pasadizos son el pasadizo de esmeralda (verde), el pasadizo de topacio (amarillo), el pasadizo de rubí (rojo) y el pasadizo de zafiro (azul), en este orden también se refleja el nivel de dificultad, en la zona verde son los niveles más fáciles, mientras que la zona azul son los más difíciles del juego, cada una de estas zonas tiene un Jefe correspondiente.
Les diré a continuación lo que representan cada una de las zonas del juego, la zona verde, por ejemplo, es representada con niveles referentes a la flora, fauna y la naturaleza, estaremos en playas, nidos, selvas tropicales, arboles inmensos, arroyos, ríos y más cosas que tengas que ver con el medio ambiente, estos niveles son los más fáciles, tanto sus piezas egipcias como los discos de música son de color verde.
La zona amarilla que sería la que sigue, es representada como una zona escolar para niños, zonas recreativas como una guardería o una escuela de arte, en este tipo de niveles encontraremos juguetes y enemigos que son juguetes, también veremos diferentes puzles a lo largo de la travesía que, si o si debemos pasar para seguir avanzando, algunos son muy sencillos, lo que más necesitamos es tener una buena memoria, las piezas egipcias y los discos están de color amarillo.
Luego viene la zona roja, en mi opinión la tercera del juego, es representada con niveles de diferentes fabricas industriales, así es estaremos en una fábrica de electrodomésticos, así también como una fábrica de robots, una diseñadora y exportadora de autos que esta abandonada con un olor sumamente toxico e incluso un refrigerador gigante que hace ilusión a una fábrica de helados, tendremos que usar la estrategia y la lógica para completar estos niveles, , las piezas egipcias y los discos están de color rojo.
Por último viene la zona azul que es la más difícil de todo el juego, ni si quiera yo en 10 años de conocer este videojuego he podido pasar el primer nivel, esta zona esta representada por historia de terror, estaremos en ciudades llenas de fantasmas, ciudades abandonadas, cementerios e incluso estaremos adentro de un volcán, estos niveles son muy traicioneros porque de vez en cuando aparecerá un fantasma que nos querrá quitar la llave, eso nos retrasará bastante, puede llegar a costarnos la culminación del nivel.
Perfecto ahora que les hable de los diferentes niveles del juego y las cosas que podemos encontrar en ellos, ahora quiero hablar de su jugabilidad tanto en Pc como Xbox clásico, para empezar la jugabilidad del juego es muy sencilla, Wario tiene como 4 movimientos más o menos, que son el salto, el puño, la corrida y el agarre.
El salto es el más fácil de deducir en Xbox lo tengo configurado en el botón “A” en pc como lo tengo configurado con un mando de PlayStation sería en el botón “X”, el puño en Xbox es con “B” mientras que en Pc con el mando lo tengo en “[]” el botón “Start” en Xbox está en la “X” mientras que en Pc lo tengo en el botón “Start”, para hacer la corrida en Xbox es en los gatillos “L” y “R” mientras que en Pc decidí configurarlo en los botones “O” y triangulo como también en “R1” y “L1”.
Si me preguntan de cual de estos modo de jugar me parece el más cómodo diría que en Pc con un mando de PlayStation es más cómodo jugar a Wario Land 4 que en Xbox, la configuración de los controles más el tacto de ese mando es más acto para jugar no sólo este videojuego si no cualquiera de la Game Boy Advance, la ventaja de la versión de Xbox clásico es que podemos usar tanto cruceta como palanca, pero en el mando de ´PlayStation en más cómodo jugar con cruceta ya que ocupa todo el espacio del pulgar.
Para acabar antes de enfrentarnos a los jefes del juego tenemos la oportunidad de jugar un par de minijuegos, son muy divertidos y siempre me gustaba jugar alguno de ellos después de llegar a la escuela cuando era pequeño, alguno de los minijuegos que podemos jugar son de beisbol que era básicamente pegarle bien a la pelota en el momento preciso, otro era salta con una rueda los obstáculos parecido al juego del Dinosaurio cuando no hay internet y el ultimo que recuerdo era una especie de ruleta donde tenemos que pulsar en el momento justo para que salga la cara de un personaje del juego, este ultimo era mi favorito jaja.
Bueno familia de Hive y amigos Gamers, espero que les haya gustado el post de hoy, mi personaje favorito de Wario Land 4 es el ansiado que nos guía durante el juego, cuando lo golpeas suena muy gracioso y de pequeño me encantaba maltratarlo jaja.
Wario Land 4 es un clásico de la Game Boy Advance, yo jamás me lo he pasado y espero hacerlo algún día, es un juego que recomiendo con todo el cariño del mundo, sin duda pasarás un buen rato jugándolo, también te hará pensar, no hay que guiarse por lo colorido que es este juego hasta cierto punto no es para niños.
