It's a very rare and little known game if it wasn't because I sent it to repair my classic Xbox I wouldn't remember it, it's a game for the Game Boy Advance console that has a very caricatured design, so much that it looks more like a game for kids than for young people (obvious), but despite that its gameplay is very similar to a very famous game that is also from the Nintendo company.
Some time ago I talked a little about Mario Kart 64 the first video game I played I think, well it turns out that the game which I will talk about also goes by those parts, I think I'm putting a lot of drama into this, but well, the game in question is called Krazy Racers or as I call it the Chinese Mario Kart, came out in 2001 is a game 100% developed by Konami and I think they were based on Mario Kat in another way they made this game to be quite similar.
For a change this game in my childhood was part of the Game Boy Advance emulator that was on my classic Xbox, it was quite low on my list of games, I loved playing it with my cousin @samy034 when we were little, although I do not remember if the game could be played by 2 people or if she and I took turns to play one race after another.
Anyway, we had a great time with this game that disappeared from my sight for almost 10 years, it was a lot of fun to race with fantasy characters and well-animated places, just look at the characters, one is a guy who thinks he is a great leader with blue hair, the red-haired girl on the left I imagine she is his lover, the one below is a pulpit with a blue cap that uses it to feel like a boy, the one with no mouth on the right is a baseball player who works as a car driver, the girl on the left is a cat but looks like a rag doll, the one in the back looks like a Castlevania bug, the one on the top right looks like a robot but in the game is called a ninja and finally we have a statue that also participates in the races, of course, why not.
My favorite character is the statue, first because I find it funny and second because his cart is green, that's why we don't have much to choose from. Now why I say that this game is the Chinese Mario Kart, first we go to the main menu in which we will find numerous options, the most relevant is the one that is a cup, once we enter the cup, we will have other options related to the cup, we can make a grand Prix, we can play a friendly race, we can play against relog and even has its mode of battles, where instead of using balloons as in Mario Kart for life, here they use stars to parody the balloons.
That detail is not the only one parodied, the list of characters that I showed you has some similarity with those of Mario Kart 64, the one with blue hair is Mario, the red-haired girl is Peach, the octopus with a dream of being human is Yoshi, the car driver baseball player is Toad, the statue that has nothing to do with the others would be DK for being a surprise also in the list of Mario Kart, the Castlevania bug would be Bowser, by discarding the ninja robot would be Luigi and then there is no comparison between Wario and the ragdoll hahahahahaha.

In my case, I always use a PlayStation 3 controller, or sometimes I use a PlayStation 1 or 2 controllers to play and try new games that I download, except for shooting games, but well continuing with the theme in a racing game I find it more comfortable to play on an Xbox controller because of the position of the lever that is higher, instead of with a Sony controller is not very comfortable to play a racing game, but I concluded that they are the same gameplay.
Why do I say that? In Mario Kart 64 in my case (on Xbox controller) you accelerate in "A" you break in "X" you throw objects in "L" and you skid in "R" those are all the controls, now let's go with Krazy Racers in my case (on the PS3 controller) you accelerate in "X", you brake in "[]", you throw the objects in "L1" and skid in "R1" that's all, you realize that it is the same, it is not the same in original consoles but if it is the same in emulators, now always in an emulator we can configure the controls to our liking. Para variar este juego en mi infancia formaba parte del emulador de Game Boy Advence que estaba en mi Xbox clásica, estaba bastante debajo de mi lista de juegos, me encantaba jugarlo con mi prima @samy034 cuando éramos pequeños, aunque no recuerdo si el juego se podía jugar de 2 personas o si ella y yo nos turnábamos para jugar una carrera tras otra.
Sea como sea la pasamos muy bien con este juego que desapareció de mi vista durante casi 10 años, era muy divertido correr con personajes fantasioso y lugares bien animados, sólo vean a los personajes, uno es un chico que se cree un gran líder con pelo azul, la chica de peli roja de la izquierda me imagino que es su amante, el de abajo es un pulpito con una gorra azul que la usa para sentirse como un niño, el sin boca que está más a la derecha es un beisbolista que se desempeña como conducto de autos, la chica más a la izquierda es una gata pero parece una muñeca de trapo, el de atrás se parece a un bicho de Castlevania, el que está más arriba a la derecha parece un robot pero en el juego se llama ninja y por último tenemos a una estatua que también participa en las carreras, claro, porque no.
Mi personaje favoritico es la estatua, primero porque me parece graciosa y segundo porque su carrito es de color verde, esa es la razón tampoco tenemos mucho para escoger. Ahora bien porque digo que este juego es el Mario Kart chino, primero vamos al menú principal en el nos encontraremos con numerosas opciones, la más relevante es la que es una copa, una vez entremos a la copa tendremos otras opciones referentes a la copa, podemos hacer gran Prix, podemos jugar una carrera amistosa, podemos jugar contra reloj e incluso tiene su propio modo de batallas, donde en vez de usar globos como en Mario Kart para la vida, aquí usan estrellas para parodiar a los globitos.
Ese detalle no es el único parodiado, la lista de personajes que les enseñé tiene cierta similitud con los de Mario Kart 64, el de cabello azul es Mario, la chica peli roja es Peach, el pulpo con sueño de ser humano es Yoshi, el beisbolista conductor de autos es Toad, la estatua que no tiene nada que ver con los demás sería DK por ser una sorpresa también en el listado de Mario Kart, el bicho de Castlevania sería Bowser, por descarte el robot ninja sería Luigi y después ya no hay comparación entre Wario y la muñeca de trapo jajajajaja.

Aunque he percibido que un jugador va más rápido en modo cerdito que en modo normal, que irónico ¿no?, existen unos zapatos rojos que si los usamos nos dan propulsión por unos segundos que simula los hongos en Mario Kart, son muchos objetos que se basan en el juego previamente mencionado. Ahora quiero hablar de su jugabilidad, la jugabilidad de este juego es “o sorpresa” idéntico a Mario Kart 64, yo les cuento algo, el Mario kart lo juego en mi Xbox clásica gracias al emulador que tiene integrado, es decir, que lo juego con mando de Xbox, en cambio Krazy Racers lo tengo en emulador de PC (fácilmente podría jugarlo también en Xbox pero me gusta más el Game Boy Advance en mi laptop) ahí puedo usar un programa que descargue que me permite plasmar el teclado a cualquier tipo de control de videoconsola.
En mi caso siempre uso un mando de PlayStation 3 o a veces uso un mando de PlayStation 1 o 2 para jugar y probar nuevos juegos que voy descargando, excepto los juegos de disparos, pero bueno siguiendo con el tema en un juego de carreras me parece más cómodo jugar en un mando Xbox por la posición de la palanca que está más arriba, en cambio en con un mando de Sony no es muy cómodo jugar un juego de carreras, pero llegue a la conclusión de que son la misma jugabilidad.
¿Por qué lo digo? En Mario Kart 64 en mi caso (en mando de Xbox) se acelera en “A” se frena en “X” se lanza los objetos en “L” y se derrapa en “R” esos son todos los controles, ahora vamos con Krazy Racers en mi caso (en mando de PS3) se acelera en “X”, se frena en “[]”, se lanza los objetos en “L1” y se derrapa en “R1” eso es todo, se dan cuenta que es lo mismo, no es lo mismo en consolas originales poro si es lo mismo en emuladores, ahora bien siempre en un emulador podemos configurar los controles a nuestro gusto. Gracias a ello me di cuenta que hasta en la jugabilidad se fijaron en Mario Kart 64.
Lo único que si es original de parte de los creadores son en las pistas, el diseño de ellas está muy bien logradas, son animados, divertidos, coloridos y son muy originales, casi entrañables, es lo que mejor recordaba cuando lo jugaba en mi infancia. Krazy Racers es un buen juego que recomiendo para pasar el rato en caso de que no tengan nada para hacer un por un par de horas.
