Several interesting projects / Einige interessante Projekte
Im Moment könnte ich Unmengen auf Kickstarter für Rollenspiel-Projekte ausgeben. Es gibt das neue "The One Ring" (hier habe ich letzte Woche drüber geschrieben), ein interessantes neues "Virtueller Spieltisch"-Programm namens "Let's role" und ein faszinierendes Solo-Journaling-RPG namens "Apothecaria" (läuft nur noch vier Tage).
Right now I could spend hundreds on Kickstarter on projects for tabletop rpg. There's the new "The One Ring" (here is my post about that), an interesting new virtual tabletop called "Let's role" and an intriguing solo journalling RPG called "Apothecaria" (only running for four more days).
Beide sind verlockend, aber ich werde definitiv bei Dungeon Alchemist zuschlagen - ich liebe Karten und Pläne. Nicht nur Battlemaps, die einem zeigen, wo sich wer während eines Kampfes befindet oder den Dungeon, durch den man "kriecht". Oft spart eine Illustration lange Minuten der Beschreibung - würde man nicht lieber mehr Zeit zum Spielen haben, weil es weniger Fragen gibt wie "Ist da ein Fenster?" oder "Ist die Tür geschlossen?".
Both are tempting, but I will definitely pledge for Dungeon Alchemist - I love maps. Not only battlemaps that show you were who is during a fight or the dungeon you're "crawling" through. Often one illustration saves long minutes of description - wouldn't you prefer more time for playing due to fewer questions of "Is there a window?" or "Is the door closed?".
Allerdings ist es nicht einfach, Karten zu machen. Sie selbst zu zeichnen ist eine Lösung, wenn man künstlerisch veranlagt ist, für andere (wie mich) gibt es Karten, die online kostenlos oder gegen Bezahlung erhältlich sind (Donnerhaus ist eines der Projekte, die ich auf Patreon unterstütze). Oder es gibt Systeme mit Tiles, Bausteine mit denen man eigene Battlemaps, wie Dungeons oder Städte, erstellen kann.
Though making maps isn't easy. Drawing them yourselves is a solution if you're artistic inclined, for others (like me) there are maps available online for free or for different amounts of money (Donnerhaus is one of the projects I support on Patreon). Or there are systems of tiles for making your own battlemaps, of dungeons or towns.
Dungeon Alchemist
Dungeon Alchemist ist ein automatisiertes Tool zur Kartenerstellung: Man wählt ein Setting, zeichnet dann einfach Quadrate in der gewünschten Größe der Räume und entscheidet, um welche Art von Raum es sich handelt (Schlafzimmer, Küche, Alchemistenlabor). Der Algorithmus zeigt sofort Räume in einer Draufsicht, mit Türen und Möbeln etc. und danach kann man die einzelnen Objekte, deren Größe - oder den Raumtyp - ändern. Und man kann Settings kombinieren - beginnen wir mit einem Herrenhaus und einem großen Ballsaal, aber direkt anschließend eine Folterkammer hinter einer Geheimtür. Anschließend kann man den Plan ausdrucken oder in ein VTT-Programm importieren.
Dungeon Alchemist is an automated mapmaking tool: You choose a setting, then simply draw squares in the wanted size of the rooms and decide what kind of room they are (bedroom, kitchen, alchemist's laboratory). The algorithm instantly shows you rooms in an aerial view, with doors and furniture etc. and afterwards you can change the individueal objects, their size - or the type of room. And you can combine types - start with a manor and a big ballroom, but with a dungeon-type torture chamber behind a secret door. Afterwards you can print it or import it into a virtual tabletop.
Die App wird über Steam vertrieben werden und läuft auf Windows-PCs, Macs und Linux-Rechnern. Auf dem niedrigsten Level von 30 € erhält man eine lebenslange Lizenz für Dungeon Alchemist und ich denke, dass es Portrait Workshop (eine App zur Erstellung von Charakterportraits, über die ich im November geschrieben habe) perfekt ergänzen wird.
The app will be distributed via Steam and run on PC, Mac or Linux computers. The lowest pledge at 30 € will get you a lifetime licence for Dungeon Alchemist and I think it will complement Portrait Workshop perfectly (an app for making character portraits, I wrote about in November).

Oh das klingt echt interessant, muss ich mir mal anschauen, ob das als weiteres Werkzeug neben dungeon painter nützlich wäre
Schau dir das Video an bei Kickstarter - wenn es genau das kann, muss gar nicht "Echtzeit" sein, dann ist es genial.
Ohhhja, wenn ich überlege wie lange ich an den maps sitze... Wäre echt genial, wenn das so gut funktioniert. Bin seeehr gespannt. Überlege noch ob ich genug für die beta zahle oder net haha
Hast du eigentlich den Portrait Workshop geschossen? Noch kann man da Late Pledge machen. Die sitzen in der Beta, bringen nach und nach mehr Rassen und drumrum - letztens gab's ein paar Hintergründe. Aktiver Discord, regelmäßige AMAs. Über die Ausgabe bin ich wirklich glücklich.
Nee brauche ich net, da meine Freundin Künstlerin ist und sowieso unsere gruppe zeichnet ;-)
I have spent more than I probably want to know backing RPG projects on kickstarter. I backed The One Ring recently.
This Dungeon Alchemist looks interesting. I have been playing with maps more recently, including setting them up physically and taking a picture to get them digitized.
