I recommend turning of the lights
Many people know Pokémon. In fact, I could say that almost everyone knows Pikachu. Today I will not tell you about the typical Pokémon game, but I will tell you about a Spin-Off of the franchise, called: Detective Pikachu.
Detective Pikachu is an adventure game quite different from what we are used to seeing. This time we don't have an Rpg game but an adventure with a quite interesting and unusual story. I have to emphasize that this game was released long before the release of the movie. It was released on February 3, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
Story
I must admit that I found the story quite curious. The first thing we can see in the introduction of the game is a little kinematics. We will be able to see a Pikachu sitting in a car which seems to have lost control. Then we will see this curious Pikachu waking up from what seems to be a dream. From now on we will meet Tim Goodman who will be our protagonist along with Pikachu. When Tim meets Pikachu he is very scared because he can understand this Pokémon as if it were a human. The curious thing is that only he can understand it. They will begin to work together to solve the strange mysteries of the city and discover that strange connection between them.
Gameplayability
I didn't think this game was so good, but I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. At that moment when I played it I was in a pretty bad moment and still it entertained me a lot.
The mechanics of this game are very simple. Search for mysteries, investigate, talk to the Npc to be able to advance and solve puzzles or mini-games using the Ds Stylus. We will have the help of Pikachu at all times and also an agenda where we can see the objectives.
At first I was pretty confident with the game, I didn't think it was a challenge for me. Despite being quite agile with this type of game, many times I got stuck. I highly recommend this game. Something else I would like to add is that this game is also for the Nintendo Switch.
Visual Section
The graphics that this game has surprised me. It's true that they are not the best graphics in the world, but it does keep the essence of the franchise. The scenarios are very well designed and the Pokémon and characters look quite nice.
The Nintendo 3Ds despite being small, has a fairly good power. Graphically the games I have been able to play, including this one, look great.
Soundtrack
As always, I like the music of this franchise very much. The music is quite good and catchy. It is mysterious, funny, curious and very emotional.
I loved the sounds and voices. I think Pikachu voice is quite accurate, including the voice of the other characters who are quite good too. So if you want to immerse yourself in the adventure, you can get ready to enjoy this game.
Now all you have to do is download it and try it out. I'm sure you'll love it.

Muchas personas conocen Pokémon. De hecho, podría decir que casi todo el mundo conoce a Pikachu. El día de hoy no te hablaré del típico juego de Pokémon si no que te hablaré sobre un Spin-Off de la franquicia, llamado: Detective Pikachu.
Detective Pikachu es un juego de aventuras bastante distinto a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver. Esta vez no contamos con un juego Rpg si no que es una aventura con una historia bastante interesante e inusual. Tengo que destacar que este juego salió a la venta mucho antes del lanzamiento de la película. Fue lanzado el 3 de Febrero del año 2016 para Nintendo 3DS.
Historia
Debo de admitir que la historia me pareció bastante curiosa. Lo primero que podremos ver en la introducción del juego es una pequeña cinemática. Podremos ver a un Pikachu sentado en un auto el cual parece haber perdido el control. Luego veremos a este curioso Pikachu despertando de lo que parece ser un sueño. De ahora en adelante conoceremos a Tim Goodman quien será nuestro protagonista junto a Pikachu. Cuando Tim encuentra a Pikachu se asusta mucho ya que puede entender a este Pokémon como si de un humano se tratase. Lo curioso es que solo él puede entenderlo. Ellos empezarán a trabajar juntos para resolver los extraños misterios de la ciudad y descubrir esa extraña conexión que hay entre ambos.
Jugabilidad
Este juego no creí que fuese tan bueno, pero la verdad es que me divirtió bastante. En ese momento cuando lo jugué me encontraba en un momento bastante malo y aún así, me entretuvo un montón.
Las mecánicas de este juego son muy sencillas. Buscar misterios, investigar, hablar con los Npc para poder avanzar y resolver puzzles o minijuegos utilizando el Stylus del Ds. Dispondremos de la ayuda de Pikachu en todo momento y también de una agenda en donde podremos ver los objetivos.
Al principio estaba bastante confiado con el juego, no creí que fuese un reto para mi. A pesar de ser bastante ágil con este tipo de juegos, muchas veces me quedé atascado. Recomiendo bastante este juego. Algo adicional que me gustaría añadir es que este juego también se encuentra para la Nintendo Switch.
Apartado Visual
Los gráficos que posee este juego me sorprendieron. Es verdad que no son los mejores gráficos del mundo, pero so hace que mantenga la esencia de la franquicia. Los escenarios están muy bien diseñados y los Pokémon y personajes se ven bastante bonitos.
La Nintendo 3Ds a pesar de ser pequeña, posee una potencia bastante buena. Gráficamente los juegos que he podido jugar, incluyendo este, lucen de maravilla.
Banda Sonora
Como siempre, la música de esta franquicia siempre me gusta mucho. La música es bastante buena y pegajosa. Es misteriosa, graciosa, curiosa y muy emotiva.
Los sonidos y las voces me encantaron. La voz de Pikachú me parece bastante acertada, incluyendo la voz de los demás personajes que son bastante buenas también. Así que si quieres sumergirte a la aventura, puedes prepararte para disfrutar este juego.
Ahora solo tienes que ir a descargarlo y probarlo. Estoy seguro de que te encantará.

La verdad que siempre he querido jugar este juego, ¿según tu experiencia podrías decir que es parecido a los juegos de Layton?
Algo parecido. Solo que te puedes desplazar por los distintos escenarios en busca de pistas y luce 3d. Aunque profesot Layton ya es otro level.

Si, es un juego que posee de bastante potencial, aunque pudieron hacerlo mucho mejor, como por ejemplo añadirle más puzzles y más contenido.
