If you like psychological horror games, I'm pretty sure Fran Bow is for you.
Fran Bow is a horror indie graphic adventure that was launched in mid-2015 for PC. Despite being an independent game the support it had was brutal. To this day you could say that the game is not very well known and is underrated but what they do not know is that it is a work of art that goes from the disturbing and terrifying to the most beautiful and beautiful.
Story
StoryOur adventure begins in distant times in mid 1944, in which we are told the story of a girl who struggles with a mental disorder that is caused by witnessing the terrible and violent murder of her parents.
After that our protagonist, Fran, finds himself in the middle of the forest and is locked up in an asylum. After that we'll see a scene where she's separated from the only thing she has left, her kitten.
Fran will meet her psychiatrist who prescribes a strange medication that causes hallucinations and makes her see a parallel world, full of darkness and horrible figures.
Fran will decide to escape from that horrible asylum and get her kitten back by travelling to the dark world through the pills.
Gameplayability
GameplayabilityThe mechanics of this game are simple but excellent, rather, exquisite. We will have our intellect to solve puzzles, for that we will have to collect information through the conversation with the different NPCs and the search of objects that we can combine between them, forming new tools, besides the use of the pills to be able to go to the parallel world and to be able to explore from another perspective.
The difficulty of this game is not very high but we will have to think a lot to solve the puzzles and advance in the story.
Visual Section
Visual SectionSpectacular. Yeah, that's the only thing that comes to mind when I think about the visual side of this game.
The drawing and modeling of the scenarios is crazy, it seems like it was a creation of Tim Burton. The game has a combination of the darkest and bloodiest with the most beautiful and sweetest.
One of the things that impresses me is how this game disturbs me but at the same time I enjoy it and am captivated by how beautiful it is.
I'm usually not one to play titles like this but it's totally worth it. It's amazing how this independent game manages to be a work of art in every way.
Soundtrack
SoundtrackThe music of this game leaves me speechless, it's one of the things that most disturbs me and I love about this game. The music is composed with dark and tragic music on piano and other instruments that perfectly sets all the stages.
The sounds of this game are very beautiful and well elaborated, believe me this game is a complete work of art.
Now all you have to do is download it and try it out. I'm sure you'll love it.

Fran Bow es una aventura gráfica indie de terror que fue lanzado a mediados de 2015 para Pc. A pesar de ser un juego independiente el apoyo que tuvo fue brutal. Al día de hoy se podría decir que el juego no es muy conocido y que es infravalorado pero lo que no saben es que es una obra de arte que pasa desde lo perturbador y terrorífico hasta lo más hermoso y bonito.
Historia
HistoriaNuestra aventura comienza en épocas lejanas a mediados de 1944, en la cual se nos narra la historia de una niña que lucha con un desorden mental que es causado al presenciar terrible y violento asesinato de sus padres.
Luego de ello nuestra protagonista, Fran, es encontrada en el medio del bosque y es encerrada en un asilo. No obstante veremos una escena donde ella es separada de lo único que le queda, su gatito.
Fran conocerá a su psiquiatra el cual le receta una medicación extraña que causa alucinaciones y la hace ver un mundo paralelo, lleno de oscuridad y figuras horribles.
Fran decidirá escapar de ese horrible asilo y recuperar a su gatito viajando al mundo oscuro a través de las pildoras.
Jugabilidad
JugabilidadLas mecánicas de este juego son sencillas pero son excelentes, más bien, exquisitas. Dispondremos de nuestro intelecto para solucionar puzzles, para ello tendremos que recaudar información a través de la conversación con los distintos NPCs y la busca de objetos que podemos combinar entre sí, formando nuevas herramientas, además del uso de las pildoras para poder ir al mundo paralelo y poder explorar desde otra perspectiva.
La dificultad de este juego no es muy elevada pero sí tendremos que pensar bastante para resolver los puzles y avanzar en la historia.
Apartado Visual
Apartado VisualEspectacular. Sí, es lo único que se me viene a la cabeza cuando pienso en el apartado visual de este juego.
El dibujado y modelado de los escenarios es una locura, parece que fuese una creación de Tim Burton. El juego tiene una combinación de lo más oscuro y sangriento con lo más bonito y dulce.
Una de las cosas que me impresiona es como este juego me perturba pero a la vez lo disfruto y me cautiva lo bonito que es.
Usualmente no soy de los que juegan títulos como este pero vale totalmente la pena. Es impresionante como este juego independiente logra ser una obra de arte en todos los sentidos.
Banda Sonora
Banda SonoraLa música de este juego me deja sin palabras, es una de las cosas que más me perturba y amo de este juego. La música está compuesta con música oscura y trágica a piano y otros instrumentos que ambientan perfectamente todos los escenarios.
Los sonidos de este juego son muy bonitos y bien elaborados, créeme este juego es una completa obra de arte.
