Today I will talk about Fallout 3, a game that didn't convince me at first, but now it could become one of my favorite games. Halloween offers are coming soon on Steam and I will probably take advantage of the offers to buy New Vegas and Fallout 4. I want to clarify that I still haven't finished the game and I still have a long way to go, in fact I have barely advanced in the story, I have dedicated myself to explore the map in search of objects to sell and get more badges (the coins of the game are soda badges). Sometimes I can use water or some supplement to recover the HP lost in combat, it is not a simple game, but not the most complicated either.

Something that I noticed a lot is that the game really immerses you in it, you forget everything, you realize that you are really alone in this devastated world, plagued by creatures that threaten you.

While exploring for a while I had to turn on the radio to not feel alone (the pip-boy is the device that allows us to access the map, data, including the radio). On the radio you can listen to the Russians, wonderful classical music and more, even false promises of a better future from governmental entities, it reminds me a lot of reality.

In combat I have died many times, to avoid this I had to have a lot of a mechanic, a tool called VATS, this makes the game a kind of MMO. This tool allows us to visualize the enemies from afar and see the probability of damage that we can inflict on them, either in the torso, arms, head or legs, it seems to me something incredible and very advanced for its time. Also after choosing the part of the enemy you want to attack, a slow motion cinematic is shown, which gives an epic touch to the game, something like in Sniper Elite. I tested with the two-headed cow as I didn't want to get close to any enemies for now.

The AI of the game seems pretty good to me too, they follow you everywhere until you die, you hide or access an establishment and if you find enemies inside, they can't get out, at least I spent a while trying to get some thugs to come out of a place to kill them one by one but they didn't. The only way is to go in again and try to kill them all.

Everything in the place has radiation, if we are subjected to too much radiation, either by water or something else, we can get sick and we will have to go to a doctor. Also if we drink wine we can become drunk, even addicted to drugs and depend on them, the game has its realism.

One thing I didn't like was its performance on my computer. My Pc is not too good and not too bad either, but I have played much more demanding titles and they have run much better, more smoothly and with more FPS. But it's just silly, at the end of the day the game is very enjoyable even with those sudden jerks, I guess it's due to bad optimization or just some incompatibility with my Pc.

I'm excited to know that there are many games out there that I haven't played, games that I'm totally unfamiliar with, games like this. So far I can say that the game made me fall in love with it. Never judge any game by its beginning and also never dare to start a game when you have a headache and haven't slept, it can be a serious mistake and affect your gaming experience tremendously. Without further ado, I will continue to enjoy this wonderful creation, see you my boomers!

Hoy hablaré de Fallout 3, un juego que no me convenció al principio, pero ahora podría llegar a ser uno de mis juegos favoritos. Pronto se vienen ofertas de Halloween en Steam y probablemente aproveche las ofertas para comprar el New Vegas y el Fallout 4. Quiero aclarar que aún no me termino el juego y aún me falta mucho por avanzar, de hecho apenas he avanzado en la historia y me he dedicado a explorar el mapa en busca de objetos para vender y obtener más chapas(las monedas del juego son chapas de refrescos). A veces me viene bien agua o algún suplemento para recuperar la HP perdida en combate, no es un juego tan sencillo, pero tampoco el más complicado.

Algo que me notado bastante es que el juego realmente te sumerge en él, te olvidas de todo, te das cuenta de que realmente estás solo en ese mundo devastado, plagado de criaturas que atentan contra ti.

Estando explorando por un rato tuve que encender la radio para no sentirme solo(El pip-boy es el dispositivo que nos permite acceder al mapa, datos, incluyendo la radio). En la radio puedes escuchar a los rusos, maravillosa música clásica y más, incluso falsas promesas de un futuro mejor por parte de entes gubernamentales, me recuerda mucho a la realidad.

En los combates he muerto muchas veces, para evitar esto he tenido que disponer muchísimo de una mecánica, una herramienta que disponemos llamada VATS, esto hace que el juego sea una especie de MMO. Dicha herramienta nos permite visualizar a los enemigos desde lejos y ver las probabilidades de daño que podemos infligirles, ya sea en el torso, brazos, cabeza o piernas, me parece algo increíble y muy adelantado para su época. Además luego de elegir la parte del enemigo que quieres atacar, se muestra una cinemática en cámara lenta, lo cual le da un toque épico al juego, algo así como en Sniper Elite. Las pruebas las realicé con la vaca de dos cabezas ya que no quería acercarme a ningún enemigo por ahora.

La inteligencia artificial del juego me parece bastante buena también, te siguen a todas partes hasta que mueres, te ocultas o accedes a un establecimiento y si te encuentras enemigos dentro, estos no pueden salir, al menos estuve un rato intentando que unos matones salieran de un lugar para matarlos uno por uno pero no lo hicieron. La única forma es entrar otra vez e intentar matarlos a todos.

Todo en el lugar tiene radiación, si nos sometemos a demasiada radiación, ya sea por el agua u otra cosa, nos podemos enfermar y deberemos acudir a un doctor. También si bebemos vino podemos volvernos borrachos, incluso adictos a las drogas y depender de ellas, el juego tiene su realismo.

Algo que si no me ha gustado ha sido su rendimiento en mi computadora. Mi Pc no es demasiado buena ni tampoco demasiado mala, pero he jugado títulos mucho más demandantes y han corrido mucho mejor, con más fluidez y con más FPS. Pero es solo una bobería, al fin y al cabo el juego es muy disfrutable incluso con esos tirones repentinos, supongo que se deberá a mala optimización o simplemente alguna incompatibilidad con mi Pc.

Me emociona saber que hay muchos juegos por ahí que no he jugado, juegos que desconozco totalmente, juegos así como este. Hasta ahora puedo decir que el juego me enamoró. Nunca juzguen ningún juego por su comienzo y tampoco se atrevan a empezar un juego cuando tienen dolor de cabeza y no han dormido, puede ser un error grave y afectar muchísimo su experiencia de juego. Sin más, seguiré disfrutando de esta maravillosa creación, nos vemos mis boomers!
