HELLO, HI, HOWDY! 🤠

Good people of Hive, how are you all doing? I'm doing well, certainly better than how I and my countrymen were doing a month ago. My routine is slowly getting back to "normal", with workflow getting back to hectic levels, and barely any time for hobbies and such activities.

Even though we're all a bit traumatized still, however, life goes on. We can't just worry about our mental health all day while disregarding work that puts food on the table. Yet, problems seem to be abundant for our country at the moment. Just after a month-long blood bath and sleepless nights, now the country is facing one of the worst floods in its history.

Right now we require faith, union, and patience, more than anything. Ijust pray for brighter days. We've been through a lot since COVID.

Well, let's get back to the gaming part.

After a successful and fun Season 4, Season 5 is already halfway through. And I must say, it's the handful of hours that I could put in, was all worth it. For the past year, or so, this has been my only active hobby, and nowadays, I don't even have time for gaming.

However, even though the time I get to put in is minuscule, I still haven't had this much fun for almost two years now. Because the game became so boring and repetitive, I was simply playing to hang out with my friends or community members, something was missing, the fun factor. Which is why I almost stopped playing. Except for our hangouts; if my mates weren't online, then I wouldn't even think about playing.

Now, with Black Ops 6 just a week away from reveal and beta, I have doubts about COD and its next 365 days. Blacks Ops has never been "my type", I lean more towards the Modern Warfare universe. Yet, we can't say for sure how Black Ops 6 will be without having a look at some proper gameplay, and then trying it ourselves. Time will tell I guess. Let's not be too pessimistic just yet.

A big reason for Season 4 and Season 5's success was due to the nostalgia factor. Where in Season 4 the KAR98 was introduced, and in Season 5 came the STG.

The boys and I have leveled up quite a bit during these Seasons, and have dominated most of the lobbies. Alas, thanks to all this domination and havoc all around the map, I ended up getting banned lol.

I guess it's a con of just being too good at something. The average monkey brain can't comprehend how it's possible, to perform at such towering levels. That is why these average players end up accusing every top player of hacking, and rage report innocent players for no reason at all. In the past three months, I've gotten banned three times already, which is ridiculous. Feels like the old days, when I was grinding the game 6-8 hours a day, especially during COVID. I used to get a lot of "hack-u-sations" and reports back then; yet, I wouldn't get banned this easily. I guess they upped the ante for such mass reports.

Yet, I must admit, the type of shit I pull off sometimes, it does feel or look as if I'm hacking. And to be honest, even I would accuse and report myself due to such actions haha.

However, the average player/person needs to understand that there's a huge difference between the average person and someone who's playing or performing at the peak of that niche or category. You can't compare a player who's in the top 1% or 0.1% to someone who's in the top 10%. Even that example and comparison are extreme. A player who's in the top 0.1% just plays and thinks differently, they can literally predict the future and the opponent's next moves. It's a matter of talent, and not everyone is as talented, but there's also dedication and consistency involved. The average player can be talented, but if they don't show up daily, then they will never reach the levels of peak performance.

And even though I'm not in the top 0.1%, I definitely am in the top 1% or 2% of players. Even though I don't take all of this as seriously as I once used to. If I did have the time and opportunity, then absolutely nothing could stop me from reaching the top 0.1% of players. Yet, life has different plans, and for now, I must prioritize what's truly important, over such frivolous activities.

That became quite deep in the end, didn't it? Well, that's how I feel about this hobby. Gaming and I go way back, over two decades ago I started. And even though it's come and gone over the years, mostly due to life and its circumstances; it always keeps coming back, and gives me some of the best memories and opportunities.

I'll leave it at that for now. Let's check out the gameplay, shall we? Be seeing you folks on the next one.

Cheers & GG 🥃☮️
