Why Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite character?
When I say this I mean that he is my favorite video game character, Cloud is the protagonist of the story of Final Fantasy 7, one of the most important sagas of the previous "Squaresoft" was released in 1997. I started playing it in 2001 when the game already had Spanish texts.

The truth was not looking for Final Fantasy 7 was looking for its sequel Final Fantasy 8 Since I had been totally enraptured watching a Gameplay of a friend, I went to the city of Maracaibo on vacation and searched everywhere but only found the 7 I said well open to try it the only RPG games that this time had tried was "Pokemon yellow and blue.
Well already in the game with a futuristic city setting and with super charismatic characters I got hooked fast in the story.

Cloud is a former soldier that is to say he has military training but apparently now works as a mercenary doing work for money, is the first thing I saw different is not the typical hero that at that time we were used to in fact the first mission is to destroy an energy reactor that feeds the city "ie ecoterrorism" but Cloud only does it for the pay Cloud is gradually getting into the role of destroying the company shinra, because they are sucking from the earth Maco matter that is what gives energy to the planet.
Cloud has a clear objective but that does not mean that he is a totally military character in some of the first memories we can see Cloud and Tifa as children sharing in the courtyards of this city, that is to say the premise is that our character is very human, so much so that he is trapped with a look that a florist gives him at the beginning of the game.
I remember some statements of "Yoshinori Kitase" when he said during the development of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake said: "Cloud is not a Cool character" that is to say that he is not a popular person as the Spanish say (the typical WAY guy), this must be grasped with tweezers! because Cloud is the "Way guy" of the video game world in his own way, he is a hero in his own way with weaknesses, but he always faces them falls and gets up, I think the words were Cloud is not the typical video game hero, "he is not Dante from Devil May Cry" But if he is a cool guy who gets up and together with his companions to fight again.
Cloud doesn't remember much from his childhood, but one thing he does remember is the death of his dear friend "Zack" who fought alongside him before.
Cloud didn't stop him that in fact he took his identity as a tribute, starting with the use of Mortal Weapon. A great sword, as well as his rank of Ex-soldier, early in the story we don't realize how important Zack was but one of the most important members of Cloud's history was missing, and that was the antagonist of this story "Sephiroth" who without a doubt is a great antagonist. Since both were companions in the past, hence the phrase "long time no see Cloud".
Cloud has in his story two elements that will disturb him for the rest of the story, the first and perhaps the most important is the death of "Aeris" the little flower of the city of shinra, of which "Cloud" clearly fell in love, well we fell in love, and her death comes at a point in the story where we are already accustomed to her presence. I still remember looking for a thousand ways to revive her NOTE: I was one of those who gathered 35 soldiers from 1 to 35 in Gold Sauce thinking that this would revive her somehow, so that many years later they would say that those items that have no use in the game, was simply because they did not manage to finish that part of the game.

The second moment of Cloud's fall is when he is left in a wheelchair after defeating Genome and passing the illusions of "Sephiroth" of course Cloud has all his friends to support him, but there is much more Cloud has grown along with us has trained hard to face "Sephiroth" and stop the meteorite with which he plans to destroy everything. To go through everything he went through, including facing the fact that he is nothing more than a genetic copy of Genova.

Cloud has more personality and is the "most Way guy" in history.
Conclusions:
Many characters are now based on Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 but it is difficult for them to know without having played it before, of course it is not sun is "Cloud" is the whole story that caught us in the beginning in this game and still does after 24 years I hope you liked this post see you in the next one.
I haven't played any iteration of FF7. Only watched the movie where Cloud was in so I don't know much about him. Nice write up!
Hi @pusen, the game was so cool that when the movie came out I wasn't shocked at all by the images in my mind the characters were already that cool.
