I am very grateful for the support of my previous Castlevania post, which is my favourite game series. Today I'm going to talk about Castlevania Curse Of Darkness, a game that I particularly love.
Estoy muy agradecida por el apoyo de mi anterior post de Castlevania, el cual es mi saga de juegos preferida. El día de hoy les hablaré de Castlevania Curse Of Darkness, un juego que muchos desconocen pero que muchos conocen.
Many know or at least know that Dracula owns a castle. This castle cannot be managed by just one person so Dracula has two subjects. One of them called Hector, Dracula's favourite subject, falls in love with a human woman. When he falls in love, Hector decides he wants to end his dark and evil life and dedicate his life to love this woman called Rosaly. So this man decides to call a vampire hunter who destroys Dracula temporarily, this causing a curse, which generates a lot of evil and causes the appearance of evil monsters that will try to destroy the whole world. But that's not all, in this game we will see a bit of a tragic story as one of Dracula's first subjects learns about Hector's betrayal of his master Dracula and to get revenge, he spreads a rumour in the village that Rosaly is a witch so they can burn her alive at the stake. So the story unfolds amidst Hector's revenge on Dracula's evil subject.
Muchos saben o al menos conocen que Drácula posee un castillo. Este castillo no puede ser administrado solo por una persona así que Drácula posee dos súbditos. Uno de ellos llamado Hector, el súbdito favorito de Drácula, se enamora de una mujer humana. Al enamorarse, Hector decide querer terminar con su vida oscura y maligna y destinar su vida a querer y amar a esta mujer llamada Rosaly. Así que este hombre decide llamar a un cazador de vampiros el cual Destruye a Drácula temporalmente, esto ocasionando una maldición, la cual genera un montón de maldad y ocasiona la aparición de monstruos malvados que tratarán de destruir todo el mundo. Pero eso no es todo, en este juego veremos una historia un poco trágica ya que uno de los primeros súbditos de Drácula se entera de la traición de Hector hacia su amo Drácula y para vengarse, riega un rumor en el pueblo de que Rosaly es una bruja para que así puedan quemarla viva en la hoguera. Así que la historia se desarrolla entre la venganza de Hector, hacia el malvado súbdito de Drácula.
The gameplay of this game is impressive, although it actually changes a lot in style compared to their other games. This time we will count on an open 3D scenario instead of the typical 2D map full of platforms. Also in this game we won't have the typical whip either, instead we will use a sword and the game changes a lot since the battles are per turn in RPG style. In fact, many people think that this Castlevania is shit, and they may be right, but I personally think it's one of the best as it implements something new and that's great to see in the saga of games that I love. You can play this game both on Xbox and PS2. I've played them both and I really like it much more on Xbox, although the game experience is quite similar.
La jugabilidad de este juego es impresionante, aunque a decir verdad cambia mucho el estilo em comparación a sus otros juegos. Esta vez contaremos de un escenario 3D abierto en vez del típico mapa 2D lleno de plataformas. Además en este juego tampoco tendremos el típico látigo, en vez de eso, usaremos una espada y el juego cambia mucho ya que las batallas son por turno al estilo RPG. De hecho, muchas personas piensan que este Castlevania es una mierda, y puede que tengan razón, pero a mi en lo personal me parece uno de los mejores ya que implementa algo nuevo y eso es muy bueno verlo en la saga de juegos que me encanta. Este juego puedes jugarlo tanto en Xbox como en PS2. En ambos los he jugado y la verdad me gusta mucho más en Xbox, aunque la experiencia de juego es bastante parecida.
As for the graphic quality, I already mentioned that it is a quite different game. It has a quite good 3D rendering, although the truth could be a little better in terms of details, but for me visually it's still quite nice and it keeps the essence of the Castlevania, which I thought it would change, but it didn't. Like the music and the effects, they remain faithful to the saga, which I love and it drives me crazy, nothing better than a saga of beautiful vampires and in this case, a game that is based on romance and revenge, a game that I recommend for lovers of games a little old.
En cuanto a la calidad gráfica, ya mencioné que es un juego bastante diferente. Posee un renderizado 3D bastante bueno, aunque la verdad pudo ser un poco mejor en cuanto los detalles, pero para mi visualmente sigue siendo bastante bonito y mantiene la esencia de los Castlevania, cosa que creí que cambiaría, pero no fue así. Al igual que la música y los efectos, se mantienen fieles a la saga, cosa que me encanta y me vuelve loca, nada mejor que una saga de vampiros hermosos y en este caso, un juego que se basa en el romance y venganza, un juego que recomiendo para los amantes de los juegos un poco viejos.

I've never played this game, but it reminds me a bit of Psp's Crisis Core. I guess the combat system is similar. Very good post.
