The SNES is full of amazing games, games that even with the years are still good, games like Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda a link to the Past, and many more, but today we will talk about a video game, not as well known as the previous ones but still I think it is the best SNES video game, today we will talk about Sunset riders.
La SNES está llena de juegos increíbles, juegos que aun con los años siguen siendo buenos, juegos como Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda a link to the Past, y muchos más, pero hoy hablaremos de un videojuego, no tan conocido como los anteriores pero aun así creo que es el mejor videojuego de SNES, hoy hablaremos de Sunset riders.
Sunset Riders is an arcade video game developed by Konami in 1991, in 1993 it was released for SNES. It is a game based on the old west in which you play in the role of a bounty hunter with the goal of hunting down the most wanted outlaws of the west, you have 4 characters to choose from, two characters that use revolvers, and two characters that use shotguns.
Sunset Riders es un videojuego arcade desarrollado por Konami en 1991, en 1993 fue lanzado para SNES. Es un juego basado en el viejo oeste en el que juegas en el papel de un cazarrecompensas con el objetivo de dar caza a los forajidos más buscados del oeste, tienes 4 personajes para elegir, dos personajes que usan revólveres, y dos personajes que usan escopetas.
En el juego hay items que conseguiremos para mejorar nuestras armas , las cuales tienen 2 evoluciones, las armas duales (primera evolución) que se obtiene cuando conseguimos una insignia de sheriff plateada y las armas de duales de disparo rápido (segunda evolución) se obtienen cuando con conseguimos una insignia de sheriff dorada.
In the game there are items that we will get to improve our weapons, which have 2 evolutions, the dual weapons (first evolution) that is obtained when we get a silver sheriff badge and the dual rapid-fire weapons (second evolution) are obtained when we get a golden sheriff badge.
You can shoot in 8 directions like in Contra or like in Metal Slug, you can also slide to dodge bullets, you can jump to the roofs in an acrobatic way to obtain terrain advantages against the enemies.
Puedes disparar en 8 direcciones como en Contra o como en Metal Slug, también puedes deslizarte para esquivar las balas, puedes brincar a los techos de manera acrobática para obtener ventajas de terreno contra los enemigos.
La banda sonora del juego combina muy bien con la temática del juego y acompaña muy bien con los distintos escenarios a pesar de no ser muy variada como en otros videojuegos de la época, la cantidad de enemigos no es muy variada, hay enemigos que vienen corriendo con un cuchillo a atacarte, enemigos que usan los elementos del escenario para ocultarse y hasta enemigos que tiran bombas, pero tiene una dificultad que compensa la poca variedad de enemigos, una dificultad alta y desafiante que te hará sufrir por horas.
The soundtrack of the game combines very well with the theme of the game and goes very well with the different scenarios despite not being very varied as in other video games of the time, the number of enemies is not very varied, there are enemies that come running with a knife to attack you, enemies that use the elements of the stage to hide and even enemies that throw bombs, but it has a difficulty that compensates for the lack of variety of enemies, a high and challenging difficulty that will make you suffer for hours.
Al inicio de cada escenario puedes ver un cartel de "se busca" que indica cual jefe te espera al final del escenario, estos jefes tienen mecánicas únicas que representarán un gran desafío, mecánicas que los hacen totalmente diferentes a los otros jefes, hacía muchísimo tiempo que no enfrentaba a jefes tan difíciles, en lo personal son unos de los jefes más difíciles que he enfrentado en un videojuego, entre algunos de los jefes podemos ver:
At the beginning of each stage you can see a "wanted" sign that indicates which boss awaits you at the end of the stage, these bosses have unique mechanics that represent a great challenge, mechanics that make them totally different from other bosses, it has been a long time since I faced such difficult bosses, personally they are some of the most difficult bosses I've faced in a video game, among some of the bosses we can see:
En los escenarios hay distintas mecánicas para superar los niveles, mecánicas como tener que pasar una zona con fuego colgado de una cuerda, piedras que caen, hay lámparas a las que podemos dispararle para que caigan y quemen al enemigo, una estampida de toros, carretas enemigas que te tiran troncos cuando vas en caballo y muchas más.
In the scenarios there are different mechanics to pass the levels, mechanics such as having to pass an area with fire hanging from a rope, falling stones, there are lamps that we can shoot so that they fall and burn the enemy, a stampede of bulls, enemy carts that throw logs at you when you go on horseback and many more.
Hay niveles bonus donde tendremos que apuntar y disparar a los enemigos que saldrán en pantalla.
There are bonus levels where we will have to aim and shoot the enemies that will appear on the screen.
Podría decirse que es el Dark Souls de los juegos de vaqueros (solo bromeo xD) es un juego de corta duración, puedes pasartelo en pocas horas, pienso que es una duración perfecta para no ser tan variado en algunos aspectos, si el juego se te hace muy dificil y necesitas algo de ayuda, tiene un modo de dos jugadores para jugar con tu amigo.
You could say that it is the Dark Souls of cowboy games (just kidding xD) is a game of short duration, you can pass it in a few hours, I think it is a perfect length for not being so varied in some aspects, if the game is very difficult and you need some help, it has a two player mode to play with your friend.
Si te gustan los juegos con una gran dificultad, deberías Jugar a Sunset Riders, te aseguro que te hará sudar en varias ocasiones, no cuenta con una historia tan elaborada como otros juegos de la misma consola, pero aun así, es un juego que saca a relucir nuestra personalidad llena de testosterona y solo queremos disparar a los malos con nuestro revolver, me gusta analizar a fondo los videojuegos, pero no fue lo que quise en esta ocasión, porque este es uno de esos juegos que te permiten sentarte con una taza de café o cerveza al lado y a disfrutar, sin historias complejas o giros argumentales súper elaborados.

If you like games with a high difficulty, you should play Sunset Riders, I assure you that it will make you sweat on several occasions, it does not have a story as elaborate as other games of the same console, but still, it is a game that brings out our personality full of testosterone and we just want to shoot the bad guys with our revolver, I like to analyze video games in depth, but that's not what I wanted on this occasion, because this is one of those games that let you sit down with a cup of coffee or beer by your side and enjoy, without complex stories or super elaborate plot twists.
