Whaaaaat. I remember this game but I don’t remember having to reset. I probably didn’t beat it.
I remember my favorite x men characters and Spider-Man villains were always decided by which ones were in the better games.
The arcade X-men’s colossus made him my favorite.l, and Maximum Carnage made me fall in love with Venom
Yeah, this one required the reset trick at the end. Well, to see the final fight and end credits anyhow. I believe this game cannot be beaten on the Sega Genesis model 3 now Nomad due to needing that reset switch.
That is an interesting way to pick favorite characters. I was never a fan of Wolverine but dealt with him because he was EVERYWHERE. I was more of a Rogue and Gambit fan myself as far as X-Men go.
Spider-Man was hit or miss with me. Depended greatly on what villains he faced and who wrote that particular storyline.
I never read the comics though, that’s why. I got a strange combination of cartoons, action figures, games and card sets. So sometimes I’d see a character in the cards or the games and they wouldn’t be in the cartoon so I was confused. At first I don’t think I even knew about the comics. I had a banshee toy and had no idea who the hell he was but he was in an c men box and could fly. Eventually I found a card and I think he appeared briefly in a cartoon after that
