Back many years ago, when Android mobile gaming was starting to see games with some actual graphics beyond Snake or Pac-Man clones, we saw a deluge of cover shooters. I have no idea where they went but I was a huge fan of these. Sadly, at the time, I had a crappy Android phone that had maybe a gig available for user installs so I had to rotate some of these out, or just not play others. Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter feels very much like those cover shooters but in full 3D now.
Improving on the Past Except Graphically
I remember many of these cover shooters being amazing looking and they played quite smoothly, even on a potato phone. This was likely accomplished via the fact that there were static scenes, very little movement, if any, per section. Some did have different spots you could move to that would shift the scene but that could have been handled via animation rather than actual 3D graphics.
Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter is full 3D, you can move your aiming reticle around and the scene shifts with you. This was not the case with the earlier cover shooters. What was on screen was what you had to use to complete the level.
Graphically, Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter is not all that impressive looking. Textures are less detailed than many games on Android. There is a red icon that rests over enemies so you can tell where to shoot easier. Virtua Cop by Sega offered something similar, and oddly, somehow looked better than Agent Shoot a good 70% of the time.
Graphics Do Not Make a Good Game
Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter may not win any AAA graphics awards, but it is fun to play. Aiming is easy to get used to but can be tough sometimes. Every once in awhile you will find yourself firing off additional rounds by accident while moving around the screen.
What is here is an acquired taste. The blood is cartoony, not realistic at all. Enemies disappear after being shot as well, rather than hanging out and being realistic. The point of Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter is definitely in the arcade category of shooters versus the more mature Mortal Kombat graphic gore style.
Levels are short, usually less than five targets total, often just one specific target. Accomplish your goals and off you go to upgrade weapons, watch ads for more powerful ones, or upgrade your agent. Then back into the next level. It is very quick so you feel like you accomplished a lot in a short period of time.
Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter is great for pickup and play and put back down while waiting somewhere, or killing some time.
I had a lot of fun playing Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter and will continue playing it.
Agent Hunt Hitman Shooter is available on Google Play
for free. There are In-App Purchases and there are also ads. At the time of this writing, you can pay $9.99 to remove ads and I believe you will get bonus in-game currency for doing so.
