Tekken series is still the hardest fighting game to learn and master!

You got that right. I never got very good with this franchise so I just kept going back to Street Fighter II machines in arcades. Some arcades had hacked units running so you had a big of variety.

I remember those hacked SF II arcade units. Multiple fireballs and floating characters got me confused.
Dead or Alive series is a nice alternative to Tekken. Easy to learn if you don't mind the hot lady characters.

The arcades around here did have the ones with multiple fireballs and such but I avoided those. There were other hacks - easier game via adjusted damage levels for instance (they also made them harder). Some were offering the same character versus mode before Capcom added it in the first official update also.

I remember Dead or Alive in arcades. Unfortunately, only one place had it and it was in a rough part of town after dark. Lots of crime in that area after dark. That mall eventually closed down a few years later as people just quit shopping there altogether.

I put in a lot of time with Tekken once it was on PlayStation though. Still was no good but now I could be no good at home. Lol.

Yeah, thank God for Google and Youtube Tekken tutorials for making things easier.

Back in the day I would have been rage quitting a lot of games if not for Gamefaqs and various search engines of the time (1996 to 2001 or so).
