FIGHTING AGAINST THORNS - SPLINTERLANDS [PT-BR/ENG]

For a few weeks I stayed away from Brawls in Splinterlands due to lack of time, but I finally decided to return to participate taking advantage of the fact that I entered a new guild and that now these disputes are paying SPS to the participants. Great incentive isn't it?

The match that I will share with you was a very tight battle and the winner was defined down to the last detail. I didn't expect Thorns to affect my team so negatively... But could I overcome this problem?

Battle.

With few elements available and the possibility to attack from the back row because of the Melee Mayhem rule I decided to build a composition with cheap and minimally resistant units (and supplemented with two 0 cost cards), choosing Djinn Oshannus as a tank that is strong against magic units but can also take a lot of physical units because of its high speed.

Unfortunately, it's been so long since I've faced Mylor that I've forgotten about this summoner. When dealing Thorns to all units, there was a big disadvantage for my composition as all cards would be doomed to kill each other for the tank enemy, with the exception of Oshannus.

Both teams' two low cost cards were eliminated and each of the cards with Bloodlust got 1 kill, increasing their stats. Although my Isgald Vorst was able to protect itself from Katrelba Gobson's second attack with its armor, it is now unprotected for the next round. Oshannus proved effective with his speed as he received a Miss from the Mycelic Infantry attack.

In the second round of the fight my Gladius card succumbed to Katrelba, causing it to receive another buff from Bloodlust . Cruel Sethropod was able to withstand her attack because it still has armor, but its health was mitigated when attacking and taking damage from Thorns .

We can see that all my units were getting hurt while being defeated one by one by Katrelba who was getting stronger with her buffs. Mycelic was eliminated and only the Gladius card was left to beat the opponent.

When Katrelba missed her first attack my hopes were lit that it would be possible to defeat her considering my units were capable of dealing the exact 5 damage needed to eliminate her. Nonetheless...

The small detail that made all the difference: when carrying out its attack Cruel Sethropod suffered the reflected damage of Thorns and he died. This caused the activation of Bloodlust which increased Katrelba Gobson's health from 3 to 4, taking her from Oshannus's damage range.

The third Bloodlust buff in the match allowed Katrelba to survive with minimal health and be able to execute the finishing blow against my Oshannus, resulting in my defeat!

You can't win every game, but this was one of those where victory was so close that it left a taste in your mouth. Well, this experience has allowed me to get some Brawls rust off and remind myself that there are a lot of worrying cards in these brawls and that I need to be more aware. Hopefully I'll be better prepared for the next fights!

It was really a great battle, I used this summoner a while ago and it is really good for low mana teams, I thought you would win it since Djinn Oshannus has a good speed and he attacks with a friend, I thought you would really survive, but it was really close to your victory !PIZZA

I thought I would win, but Thorns made all the difference lol
