  • Nunca deixe seu CR ficar em 100% (desperdício);
  • NUNCA NUNCA NUNCA deixe seu CR ficar abaixo de 50% (ele diminuirá drásticamente após esse patamar);

Utilizar cartas alugadas/compradas.

Continuing with the posts aimed at answering the main questions of beginner players about Splinterlands, today I will focus on how to farm chests as many players win matches and they don't receive points to increase their chests and they have this doubt hovering in their mind.

To answer this question we will need to talk about Capture Rate, League, Rating, Ghost Cards, Focus Points and Focus.

Have you played countless games and realized that even after hours and hours you still haven't gotten any chests? If the answer is yes, don't worry as I will explain the reasons for this and what you should do to start earning rewards properly.

First we should talk about the League which is the main factor that defines your rewards. In the Novice league it is not possible to farm chests, it is necessary to reach at least Bronze III to start earning points.

To move up to Bronze III it is necessary to reach at least 100 Rating, this value is achieved with the victories of your matches. Upon reaching this league you will be able to receive a Focus (read as Mission for easier understanding) that will indicate which cards should be used to receive a bonus in Focus Points received for victory, but it is not mandatory.

From Bronze III onwards, all your victories will grant you Focus Points that will add up until you complete the bar that will grant you the first chest. Each extra chest will require a higher amount of FP.

"Ok Underlock, I understand that I need to increase my rating to move up the league, enable my Focus and start farming Focus Points by winning matches to receive chests. The problem is that I CONTINUE NOT GETTING FOCUS POINTS, THE WHAT TO DO?

In addition to the league, there are some extremely important factors that define the amount of Focus Points earned in a match and to facilitate understanding I will separate them into topics.

Ghost/Starter Cards

When buying the Spellbook you may have noticed that there are many cards released for you, but they all have an S on them indicating that they are a Starter Card or also called Ghost Cards.

Using these cards reduces the amount of Focus Points and SPS received in a win, and if your team is made up entirely of Starter cards you will receive ZERO REWARDS. That's right, using these cards gives you NOTHING!

"And what to do?" You must buy or rent these cards to be eligible to receive rewards. Later I'll do a post focused on rent for newbies but you can learn some tricks by reading this post addressing the topic. Once you have chosen which cards you will use and rent them, you will have to pay attention to the next factors.

Capture Rate

If we compare it to mobile games, the Capture Rate can be understood as the Energy of the game and it defines how much you receive per game. Avoiding going into too much detail, all you should know is:

  • Never let your CR stay at 100% (waste);
  • NEVER EVER EVER let your CR go below 50% (it will decrease dramatically after this plateau);

Using it between 60% ~ 99% is the best way to take advantage of the Capture Rate properly. You can see this information by hovering over the SPS tab on the game's home page.

League, Rating and Focus

In addition to these three requirements being necessary to make it possible to earn chests, they also influence the amount of Focus Points you will receive.

The higher your league, the more FP you earn, that is, to earn as many chests of the Bronze tier you will need to stay in the Bronze I league. In addition, the amount of Rating you have also influences and the more you have, the greater your gain (being limited to the maximum Rating value of your league). Let me give an example to make it easier to understand.

If you are playing on Bronze III with 120 Rating you will receive 10% FP (random percentage just for example). If you reach 390 Rating your FP gain will have increased to 20%. If you go up to Bronze II with 500 Rating, the Focus Points will keep increasing until you finally reach Bronze I with 999 Rating, which is the maximum potential you can reach for the receiving bronze tier chests.

This is how FP gain evolves with league advancement. The higher the league and your rating, the greater your FP gain, remembering that you must use purchased/rented cards and have a Capture Rate above 60% for considerable gains.

The Focus is your daily mission that will grant you a 10% bonus for each card you use in your team that matches the mission received. For example: I received a mission from Flying that gives me a 10% bonus for each card with the Flying ability that I use in my team. In a match where three of the playing cards have the ability, it will be granted a 30% bonus on top of the Focus Points I would receive (this base is stipulated by all the other factors mentioned above).

Your focus changes every 24 hours and you have to open the chests you won to receive a new one, remembering that you can request a new Focus 1x a day if you don't like the first option.

I know it can be a lot of details to assimilate but with time everything will be much easier for you. Just understand that reaching the highest level of each league is always the best option (Bronze I, Silver I, Gold I, ...) to increase the amount of Focus Points received and consequently the amount of chests farmed .

To summarize all that has been said, to earn chests properly it is necessary to obey the following statements:

Use rented/purchased cards.

Move up to the highest level of your league whenever possible. (this doesn't mean jumping from bronze to silver, but trying to reach bronze I)

Stay with your league's max Rating.

Use the requested cards in your Focus to earn bonus rewards.

Always keep your Capture Rate above 60% and below 100%.

I'm sure that after reading all this you will be 100% prepared to venture into Splinterlands, equipped with information to evolve as a player and conquer as many chests as possible.

I'm proud of you!
