Megaman Battle Network
Surely the vast majority of people met the little blue robot through action games. Perhaps since the enemy was still Willy, or in the more "new" versions as the versions Zero and ZX. Be that as it may, few people should have started playing Megaman since its Battlet Network versions.

Megaman Battle Network had six titles released for Game Boy Advance. The first two were unique titles, and from the third they started using nothing but subtle differences between them, like the existence of a particular Navi in one version and not in another (very Pokemon style).

A NetNavi is nothing more than an online avatar that can be used to explore the electronic interior of the network, and controlled by an operator. Lan Hikari is the main character in the series, an operator with his Navi called Megaman. The story takes place in the 21st century, and shows humanity totally dependent on the Internet (or Net) for anything everyday (like what our real world has been becoming). The network is used for commerce, transport, energy supply and criminal activities, like the one of the group called WWW.
Un NetNavi no es más que un avatar en línea que se puede utilizar para explorar el interior electrónico de la red, y controlado por un operador. Lan Hikari es el personaje principal de la serie, un operador con su Navi llamado Megaman. La historia tiene lugar en el siglo XXI, y muestra a la humanidad totalmente dependiente de Internet (o Red) para cualquier cosa cotidiana (como en lo que nuestro mundo real se ha estado convirtiendo). La red se utiliza tanto para el comercio, el transporte, el suministro de energía y para actividades delictivas, como la del grupo llamado WWW.
First, Lan and Megaman are involved in solving several seemingly everyday problems in the city that are found to involve Navis that were being used for evil. They soon find their operators' connection to the so-called WWW organization.

And the Battle Network story is good, although it doesn't seem like the first sight. It's not a great plot there, but it's fun and totally playable. The daily situations of the characters, the exploitation of the Network, and of course the Navi villains.

The Navi here are versions of the robots there from the Classic Megaman! a great idea to take advantage of them and show them in a totally different way, although in a different world. Damn, it's great to see Navis like Iceman, Cutman, Stoneman, all in action again and some with a very stylish and remodeled outfit.

Another highlight of the game is the battle system which is innovative and quite strategic. On the one hand we have the Megaman that can fire shots from its buster and even load, however this is sometimes not enough to deal with network viruses and Navis' powerful opponents. So on the other hand, we have chips that are kind of "cards" that can be used during combat, ranging from swords, energy cannons, monster chips, where somehow their attacks are used, even defeated Navis chips, like Fort Gutsman that hits all the opponent's tiles, causing damage and leaving the ground broken.
Otro punto culminante del juego es el sistema de batalla que es innovador y bastante estratégico. Por un lado tenemos el Megaman que puede disparar disparos desde su buster e incluso cargar, sin embargo esto a veces no es suficiente para hacer frente a los virus de la red y los poderosos oponentes de Navis. Así que por otro lado, tenemos chips que son especies de "tarjetas" que se pueden utilizar durante el combate, que van desde espadas, cañones de energía, chips de monstruo, donde de alguna manera se utilizan sus ataques, incluso chips De Navis ya derrotados, como el fuerte Gutsman que golpea todos los azulejos del oponente, causando daños y dejando el suelo roto.
The battles take place in these so-called squares that represent areas where the Megaman and the opponents can move. There are 18 squares, initially distributed among 9 for each side, and they can change during the course of the battle. Battles that if won in a beautiful way, can generate good amounts of gold or even defeated virus chips that can be added for later use. Very cool to pick them up and see each effect different in the battles. Another great plus.

The game environment is divided between the real world and the virtual world. The real one is very generic, a nearby town called ACDC (you will understand why this name), a power plant and so many other bigger (or smaller) places that appear in the course of all the games. Most of them are simple. This is where all the action takes place involving Lan Hikari, her high school friends and other characters. In the real world, of course, the electronic devices are also where the operator can connect to his Navi, allowing him to surf the net.

The virtual world is very similar to the electronic rpgs famous for the random battle that sometimes takes away the patience when enough concentration is needed to solve certain puzzles.

The game music is very repetitive, although some tracks are quite cool even, with due mention of the title song, which is very rewarding. The characters are mainly the controllers. You can sympathize with some of them, as others less so. There is not much to talk about here, as it depends a lot on the player. In a way, the characters are within the pattern of the game.

Is Megaman Battle Network good? Yes, very! It is a very fun game and worth playing, whether it is for the innovative gameplay, the plot or the possibility to enjoy the design of each Navi. It may not be that RPG you are used to, but its unique way of playing captivates the player easily. And if you are thinking of starting to play it too, I advise you to start with the first one of this great saga!
