The September Garden Journal Challenge!

in HiveGarden3 months ago

It has made us so happy to see so many great gardening posts on HIVE, keeping us inspired and motivated. This year seems a better season than last for most of us - well, we hope that's the case for you!

Please give @owasco a bit of love for her efforts in commenting on your post during this week - it's a busy time for the Hive Garden in the first week of the month!

Don't forget your upvotes are super important - they help support YOUR posts when we increase our VP through power ups. They also keep us happy to keep bringing cool stuff, like the challenge that comes out every Saturday and a curation post which celebrates Hive Gardeners.

We love this community - it's your participation above all that keeps it great!

The Challenge

Write a #gardenjournal post! This could be:

  • Detailing what's happening in your garden, from successes to failures
  • Writing about a friend's garden
  • Writing about a visit to a botanical garden or nursery
  • Writing about your favourite plant
  • Garden produce recipes
  • Prepping posts about growing and preserving your own food

The Guidelines

  • Please do NOT share ten photos of the SAME plant! Be selective.
  • 300 words minimum - this is not a photo challenge.
  • Comment on other posts in the community
  • Use #gardenjournal as your first tag and post in the community.
  • No AI generated posts please - you will be immediately muted
  • If your post is prepping related, use the tag #GARDENPREPPER as well.

Your enthusiasm shines through the content you create and your engagement with community and will be rewarded with upvotes and reblogs, and hopefully lots of engagement from fellow gardeners and Hive folk!

Let's see fab formatting, beautiful photos, and thoughtful post - the kind of post that makes us want to go and tidy our garden!

Tagging #gardenjournal members as a reminder! Please let me know if you'd like to be added or removed from this list.

Love this idea!! 💚🌿 Does it matter that my garden at present is located on a windowsill and not in the ground?
