Trabajo desde los 19 años de edad y siempre me he considerado emprendedora porque me gusta hacer de todo un poco, así que a menudo me estoy actualizando con ideas, técnicas y todo aquello que me haga crecer, pero también enriquezca mis conocimientos para así mantenerme activa en algún proyecto.
I have been working since I was 19 years old and I have always considered myself an entrepreneur because I like to do a little bit of everything, so I am often updating myself with ideas, techniques and everything that makes me grow, but also enriches my knowledge to keep me active in any project.
Siempre vi a mi madre coser en su máquina, ella nos hacía nuestras vestimentas además que era la costurera de la comunidad lo cual le generaba ingresos para aportar dinero al hogar, así que al pasar los años la máquina de mamá estaba en casa sin uso alguno y un buen día vi un programa televisivo donde la invitada enseñaba como hacer pantuflas; yo quedé encantada con la idea y el día siguiente me dispuse a comprar el material y comencé por hacerme unas, eran muy cómodas además de hermosas porque las había personalizado y a partir de allí inicio mi travesía en una combinación entre la costura y las manualidades.
I always saw my mother sewing on her machine, she made our clothes and she was also the seamstress of the community which generated income to bring money home, so over the years mom's machine was at home without any use and one fine day I saw a television program where the guest taught how to make slippers; I was delighted with the idea and the next day I set out to buy the material and started to make myself some, they were very comfortable as well as beautiful because I had personalized them and from there I began my journey in a combination of sewing and handicrafts.
Aún gozaba de mi soltería lo cual me beneficiaba en cuanto a tiempo libre por lo que podía distribuir las horas del día en trabajar en los encargos y atender a los clientes sin ningún apuro dado que la única responsabilidad era mantener a gusto a quienes asistían a mi pequeño taller; cada vez la clientela era mayor, ya no solo hacia pantuflas, también sábanas, cortinas y manteles, las épocas navideñas para mí eran muy productivas porque las personas querían embellecer sus hogares con motivo de la navidad por lo que yo pasaba la mayor parte del tiempo sentada a la máquina y en ocasiones elaboraba materiales con diferentes materiales, según la exigencia del cliente; así fue por unos cuatro años consecutivos hasta que decidí entrar de lleno en mis estudios universitarios y pause mi negocio.
I still enjoyed my bachelorhood which benefited me in terms of free time so I could distribute the hours of the day to work on orders and serve customers without any rush since the only responsibility was to keep those who attended my small workshop at ease; The Christmas season was very productive for me because people wanted to embellish their homes for Christmas, so I spent most of the time sitting at the machine and sometimes I made materials with different materials, according to the customer's requirements; it was like this for about four consecutive years until I decided to enter fully into my university studies and I paused my business.
Luego cuando retomé el emprendimiento ya tenía mi primer hijo, pero el propósito siempre se mantuvo aun cuando me había cambiado de residencia y prácticamente tuve que comenzar desde cero, mientras hacía la clientela y conocían mi trabajo, lo bueno fue que conseguir aumentar nuevamente el número de clientes lo que me hizo muy feliz, aunque las condiciones de trabajo no eran las mismas que la primera vez, pues pude adaptarme y acoplarme entre atender el hogar, el bebé y el emprendimiento que por supuesto manejaba desde el hogar lo cual era cómodo en todos los aspectos.
Then when I resumed the venture I already had my first child, but the purpose always remained even when I had changed residence and practically had to start from scratch, while making the clientele and knew my work, the good thing was that I managed to increase again the number of customers which made me very happy, although the working conditions were not the same as the first time, because I could adapt and couple between attending the home, the baby and the venture that of course managed from home which was comfortable in all aspects.
Gracias a este emprendimiento pude hacerme conocer por muchas personas de mi comunidad y estás a su vez me recomendaban con otras de todas partes de la ciudad, inclusive en diferentes oportunidades pude realizar varios trabajos que llevarían fuera del país, lo que para mí fue de mucha satisfacción y alegría que me impulsaban a realizar cada vez más mis labores con mucho amor y dedicación.
Thanks to this venture I was able to make myself known by many people in my community and they in turn recommended me to others from all parts of the city, even on different occasions I was able to do several jobs that would take me out of the country, which for me was of great satisfaction and joy that pushed me to do more and more of my work with love and dedication.
Por otra parte, este emprendimiento me sirvió de mucho porque hice amistades que aún conservo, aprendí nuevas técnicas que pude en práctica y todos quedaban a gusto; al mismo tiempo generaba muy buenos ingresos que me ayudaban a costear tantos los gastos del hogar como los personales y de mi hijo, pero lamentablemente a la máquina se le dañó una pieza en el preciso momento en el que mi país se encontraba en una situación muy crítica donde existía escasez de muchos productos incluyendo repuestos de electrodomésticos y por ende máquinas de coser, lo que me llevó a cerrar una parte importante de mi emprendimiento y actualmente ya esta iniciativa quedó pausada dado que ya no puedo manipular material textil debido a la sinusitis que a lo largo del tiempo he desarrollado y a raíz de ello también abandone la parte de los trabajos de manualidades.
On the other hand, this enterprise was very useful to me because I made friendships that I still keep, I learned new techniques that I could put into practice and everyone was at ease; At the same time, it generated a very good income that helped me to pay my household expenses as well as my son's and my personal expenses, but unfortunately a part of the machine was damaged at the very moment when my country was in a very critical situation where there was a shortage of many products, including spare parts for household appliances and therefore sewing machines, This led me to close an important part of my enterprise and currently this initiative was paused because I can no longer handle textile material due to sinusitis that I have developed over time and as a result of this I also abandoned the part of the handicrafts.
Si algo quedó de este emprendimiento es el aprendizaje y experiencia con cada una de las piezas, pero sobre todo la satisfacción de haber alegrado a todos los que fueron mis clientes con el buen trabajo realizo, creo que ese es el mejor pago que se puede obtener porque muy aparte de lo monetario, el agradecimiento es algo que llena de gozo y emoción que queda para siempre.
If anything remained of this venture is the learning and experience with each of the pieces, but above all the satisfaction of having pleased all those who were my customers with the good work done, I think that's the best payment you can get because apart from the monetary, gratitude is something that fills with joy and emotion that remains forever.
