Today my wife told me she was too embarrassed to hang my semi-transparent war-torn x-rated boxers on the clothesline, and I can't blame her.
Inappropriate Underwear 🚫
We came to Suriname with 7 suitcases, and we shall leave with 7 suitcases, so that means not acquiring too many things while we are stuck here. We've hardly purchased any clothes while here, and @sreypov's seamstress magic has kept my boxers alive until today.
These boxers have been repaired and re-repaired countless times, and they kind of began to take on a life of their own. About a year ago I realized it wasn't safe to wear these around the house without a secondary layer of clothing. Well, today marks the end of the road for these Franken-shorts, because my wife was too embarrassed to hang them on the clothesline where our neighbor can easily see this apocalyptic underwear.
I guess I have zero shame, so I'm glad my wife forced me to retire these boxers to a bedside rug. Things are very sandy outside our apartment, and it tends to find its way inside the home, so it's nice to give the feet a good wipe before jumping in bed. RIP boxer shorts, you served me well for four years.

@sreypov has become a legendary insect photographer, and sometimes her subjects return to the apartment with her. Today a white peacock butterfly hitched a ride on her hand and came to hang out with us for about an hour.
This butterfly was feeling pretty social, so we passed it around and let it get to know everyone before it decided to explore new territory.
As soon as the butterfly left us, Harry the lamb dropped by for his first visit of the day. He's now gotten a bit too comfortable, and he now looks for things to eat before even saying hello like he used to.
I made my legendary veggie burgers for the family today, a favorite of my wife and daughters. Srey-Yuu decided to eat while Monkey-B wanted to show off her veggie burger masterpiece, perfectly mustarded and ketchuped, with a fine array of tomatoes and cucumbers.
After the burgers were consumed and everyone was feeling rather heavy and tired, Monkey-B asked for some Hive Keychain screentime, and she disappeared for 30 minutes.
Monkey-B Finished Her First Post 🏆
It's been 8 days in the making, but Monkey-B has finally finished her first post, with only minimal help from her mother, sister, and I. Her big sister taught her how to upload photos and center them, and Monkey-B occasionally asked how to spell certain words, but otherwise she put a post together by herself.

I use to have the underwear issue as well. A well "seasoned" underwear is so soft and comfortable, even it's clean, the moment you wear them on, as if there's no fabric there, so the #uknowhat can breathe easily and not feeling being restrained. But then, all the good thing must come to an end. Wife once asked, why does guys underpants always got hole? My initial answer to her was, probably due to the "saltiness", and somehow the heavy alkaline started the corrosion.
Anyway, there's one time I visited the underwear factory(for work purpose), I did took the opportunity to ask the factory tour guide why does guys underpants always make holes before the spandex start loosing. The answer is, it is supposed to be like that, as guy's have "extra territorial" surface. It's normal when those area rubbed against outter pants and causes them to thin and finally #uknowhat will find it's way to "breakthrough". Forgive me on my lower grade analogy, the interview was done in Chinese, so I've try to retain the best part of the discussion for the benefit of FUN.

I agree, just like a good t-shirt about to decompose on one's body, a pair of underwear teetering on the brink of destruction is also a very breathable garment. Even though it may embarrass one's wife to hang such atrocious underwear on the clothesline, they must try to understand the salty struggle we men face.
what a wonderful day. Those boxers really did well. Its shameful to say but the reality is that my hubby's underpants are likt that too. he also gained weight and hid underpants are too tight already. he has been begging me to buy in the nearest store but I don't have time . He had most of his time free but he said he does not know how to, he said he could get the wrong size. Such a funny reality.
Congratulations to your daughter. I can't wait to tell my daughters about it. I have been telling them about my work on the phone, and how I can make money out of it. because I cant let them borrow my phone especially when I have to make a post. one day my, was holding my phone and am si silent Oldest daughter asked me : "nag work ka sa cellphone ma?" (Are you working in your phone mom?).
Good to know there are other Hive men out there with apocalyptic underwear 😄.
I think kids can learn this stuff much faster than us, but the hardest part is making learning things like Hive more fun and interesting than the other things kids are doing for fun these days. I am so happy to know my daughters have found Hive, and hopefully this influence will keep them away from things like Twitter, Instagram, and Tik-Tok, which are not the most constructive of places.
I think you'll find everyone on Hive has some dodgy old underwear with holes lurking in their underwear draw.
My theory is that because no-one sees your underwear, it gets worn long past the point you would throw out another piece of clothing.
This is comforting to know, and I agree, if nobody sees, nobody knows, that is how underwear reaches such atrocious states.
your boxer really serve you will sir. It hurts to let it go. I also have like this, but not an underware, my favorite clothes. I'll always wore it almost everyday. My mom got annoyed because almost everyday she laundry this favorite clothes of mine. I still wore it even there is a hole in some part of it. I dont know why I love it to wore. For now this clothes of mine is still alive but I didnt wore it anymore. It's just in my closet. I put it the front. So everytime I open my closet I always see it.
I have a few shirts like that in the USA that are nearly destroyed, but I love looking at them every three or four years when I visit the USA. We humans are nostalgic creatures, or in my case, I think just cheap.
And there I thought I wore my boxers for a long time!
This rag sure looks like the perfect foot wiper, if your foot doesn't get stuck in one of its many holes haha!

This technical glitch was discovered quickly. I would describe the action as more a flossing of the toes than a wiping of the feet.
I still can't believe how often butterflies just land on my wife and kids and stay with them for a morning or afternoon. They must be doing something right, the butterflies have zero interest in me.

We men can be ridiculous sometimes I guess. I tend to buy wool boxers, so they are a little pricey, and I think this is what causes me to try to keep them alive for years and years. T-shirts, same situation, perhaps even worse, I still wear shirts on a regular basis that I bought around the year 2000. The problem is shirts get so soft and comfy right when they're about to disintegrate.
