Hello everyone. Yesterday I shared a temple in Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province. And today I will share one more temple, but this temple is located in Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province. This temple is called Wat San Ton Muang or Wat Muang Kam. Wat San Ton Muang is a newly built temple. This temple was allowed to be established as a temple in A.D. 1989 (34 years ago).
Journey to Wat San Ton Muang, From Mueang Chiang Mai District, travel on Highway 107, Chiang Mai - Fang route to go to Mae Ai District. Upon reaching Mae Ai District, journey on the highway to Mae Ai Subdistrict. And enter municipality alley 62. Once you enter the alley, journey about 180 meters to this temple.
Wat San Ton Muang is located on a hill. When me and my wife reached the temple. We will see the large arch of this temple. And when we passed through this entrance arch. I had to drive up a hill to get to this temple.
The entrance arch is made of cement pillars and has a roof similar to the roof of a buddha image hall (viharn) or ordination hall (ubosot).
When reaching the top of the hill, where the temple is located. We will see the buddha image hall (viharn) first. The front and architrave of this buddha image hall (viharn) are decorated with Lanna style stucco patterns.
The front and back stairs of the buddha image hall (viharn) are serpent-shaped stairs.
In addition, the wooden doors and windows of this buddha image hall (viharn) are carved with beautiful patterns.
Inside the buddha image hall (viharn) there is a beautiful main buddha image and other buddha images.
The walls inside the buddha image hall (viharn) are decorated with buddhist paintings.
When we walked to the back of the temple. We will see a bell tower, a pagoda and a large Buddha statue nearby.
The 3-story bell tower is made from cement. The roof of the bell tower similar the Buddha image hall (viharn). Area the stairs leading up to the bell tower are two giant sculptures and many angel sculptures.
Color gold pagoda with beautiful shape. And the stairs leading up to the pagoda are color gold serpent-shaped stairs.
The large buddha statue looks beautiful. Area the stairs leading up, there are color gold several swan-shaped electric pole.
Inside the temple there is also a multi-purpose building and a monk's residence.
The overall atmosphere inside the temple, most of the area is lawn, has many trees and flowers.
In addition to trees and flowers, the temple also plant some vegetables such as cucumbers and pumpkins.
We also enjoyed the view of the area below, When we look at the view from area temple which is located on the hill.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
