Hello all my dear friends! This morning, I have visited the local park where it has many different statues and other stuff to see especially the flowers in this park. I have found many beautiful Pigeons and captured one of the most gorgeous flowers that grow near the park’s lake.
Champei Blossom
I always found Champei whenever I visit this park. Plumeria blooms usually used in salads, steeped into a tea, fried or as an ingredient in making candies, jellies and omelets. Some people in Cambodia eat this flowers with chili and salt.
It’s sounds might be weird to you, but I would definitely say it is true because I use to see my neighbor eating it and they say it is something that can freshen breath and even yummy for them too.
Girls Feeding Birds 🐦🌼
I'd rather say that many people who visit this park love to feed the birds. Every morning, people go there and walk as an exercise along the street and then they stop for a minute just to feed the pigeons.
There are two pigeons (couple), one white and one grey wait for them every morning. They like eating millets and sunflowers seeds.
However, their favourite of all are corns! I really appreciate. They are feeding birds, not because it’s a good practice or benefit. They actually do it because they love birds.
Park of Sculptures
This park is famous as a place where people can see many statue related to Khmer history and ancestors. It also contains some modern sculptures too.
You may see that many statue in this park are elephants. The reason is that elephants helped build the Angkor Wat Temple and really important in the history of Cambodia. Therefore, people in Cambodia are so grateful and always give value to elephants.
The park provided a very good environment. People can sit on a bench when they feel tired. Both international and national visitors can visit their without paying for a tickets. There are many big tree as well, so the weather isn’t too hot. I really enjoy visiting there on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
So that flower is edible? Well, there are many that can be safely consumed, apart from being beautiful. The girls feeding the birds were cute, and the park with so many statues around must be a nice place to stroll. A good time you had in the park @mich.brmey :)
