Hello everyone,
From the end of March to the middle of April the iconic cherry blossoms of Japan bloom. Normally, tourists from around the world come every year to witness the magnificent cherry blossom scenery.
I would like to share some photos of the cherry blossoms in Kyoto I took on a trip with my friends last year to a famous cherry blossom sightseeing spot. It features a row of 500 cherry blossom trees along a river.
Yodogawa Riverside Park, Sewaritei District
This place is a well-known spot amongst local Japanese and foreign tourists. The road in the park has cherry blossom trees on both sides for about 2 kilometers. If you come at the right time, when they are in full bloom, you will be surrounded by elegant pink cherry blossom flowers. This time though, it seems we came a bit late, as some of the cherry blossom flowers had already fallen.
My friends and I brought some food and beverages for a small picnic.
Because the view was very beautiful, we didn't want to miss the chance to take some photos. I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

That park is wonderful. One thing that I love about all the sakura is that the people had the forethought to plant them everywhere so that future generations could bask under their blossoms.

They are such a beautiful flower. We have many of these trees in my hometown in Indiana because there is Toyota factory there, and the factory gifted the local government many of them. Nice to see you posting and active on Hive again, welcome back.
