Yesterday I ended the story when I met my hive's virtual friends. Now, I will continue sharing my journey from Manticao to Iligan City.
I have a best friend for 17 years, she was working in my employer's sister in Saudi Arabia. Since our employers are related, we always saw each other during vacation. They were living in Jeddah City while we are living in the province. We shared many common things in life . We are bread winner and we are both family oriented who devotedly dedicated our struggle/sacrifices to our parents and siblings.
She was Anita from Lapayan, Lanao Del Norte with our old friends who are still working in Saudi until now. Among us,after the pandemic, I was the one who decided to spend vacation. While waiting my ticket, I didn't know that Anita had a secret illness she hide from us. I thought it was just a ordinary pain until she told me that her stomach became bigger and bigger. Her employer brought her to the doctor and told her to have surgery but she refused. Instead, she decided to go home before me. She told me crying that, she was not ready to go home because there are still so many things to be settled. To make the story short, she became so thin but the worst happened when she didn't go to the doctor but tempted to be in a care of a quack doctor. We were all dismayed from their decision. She believed the man and her faith stuck to the albularyo and find her fate. She died on the day of my arrival in the Philippines. I was disappointed. It was my goal to bring her back to her hometown before it's too late but I came late.
Our great memory during the wedding of her employer's son last December 2021, we were so much happy on that time. I never thought that it was our last meeting. She was my best friend where I talked to everytime I had a problem. We helped each other most especially when it's all about our family back home.
After two to three months of our last meeting in Saudi, here is how she looked. So furious.
Her last message to me when she came home here in the Philippines.
While in Iligan City
Arrived Iligan City while the daughter of Anita and brother were waiting for me so I didn't feel hard to find their home. Iligan City is almost two hours from Lapayan, approximately. There are so many beautiful spot and sceneries.
Mission accomplished,I met my friend for the last time. And I met her entire family.
After two hours of talking about my friend death, I bid farewell and the nephew of my friend drive me back to Iligan. Thanks God, they have their own car for service. It was a painful meeting with Anita. Looking at her in the coffin, hutted me that I changed my understanding and my feeling. I said thank you Lord for not giving my friend a long struggle of her painful last part of her life. Would you believe that she was begging for life. She planned to work and had a re-entry visa. She is now in heaven, I am happy for her and her family.
Finally, I came Cagayan de Oro Terminal on board the Rural Transit going to Davao. It was an air-coditioned bus and it took 6 hours none stop trip at night for Davao.

If we have something bad to our health, please, go to the doctor immediately. What had happened to my friend was a great lesson to learn. It only took 3 months she complained, then sudden death followed at time. I don't know either, she hide it from us or what?
