I have mixed emotions today. I feel happy and at the same time, guilty and I feel so bad about it. Anyway, I will share with you today how to do the "sandwich" approach. Let's start with the good news. Yes I am thankful to God for blessing me a job and the good news is that I just received the copy of Notice of Step Increment. Praise God for this blessing.
Here's the bad one (and praying that there will never be a repeat performance for this). There was an applicant (homebased caregiver for Israel) yesterday who passed her requirements to me. Asumerang froglet din kasi ako minsan. I accepted her requirements and gave her final instruction like I usually do (as per instruction by my boss, of course). Then just this morning I was told by my boss that he had been calling her since yesterday because he did not yet finish to interview her. He instructed her to bring her husband's id. I never knew about this, all I know is that she was all set yesterday, that is why I told her that its ok for her to go home.
The good news, today my boss told me that next time I have to ask them first if they have finish the interview before dismissing them. Thank God for a very lenient boss. Its another blessing for me. Nakakahiya mang aminin pero yon ang totoo, kung kelan tinaasan ang sahod saka naman ako sasablay ng ganito. I really feel bad about this incident. But I need to move on. Its another lesson for me. That is the sandwich approach: good news, bad news then good news.
This is also applicable in confronting our children. If they did something wrong, let us make sure to still encourage them out of our confrontation. Let us never focus on their mistake, rather let us focus on how they can learn from it and encourage them to do better next time.👍👍
