New week at the #mih, Hive Music Festival, and my new presentation. Every week, the talents of this platform surprise us with their performance, thanks to festivals like this. Thanks to the organizers and sponsors for their support, it is now up to us to bring quality content. As you already know, I am a classical pianist. I am also a piano teacher, from young pianists to slightly older ones. Somewhere in between, teenage students, they always ask me to play some "cool" stuff, some soundtracks from movies or current popular songs. This music from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean is one of those they are looking for.
Here, I am bringing my own cover of that tune. I wrote it in the Musescore, a free notation program. The structure of the form is a slow introduction, then the fast motives, again a slow melodic part and a fast final part. In the left hand, fast repeated octaves are dominants, while the right hand brings out the tune in chords. It is technically demanding because of the fast tempo and energetic playing.
This tune, He's a Pirate was originally written by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer in 2003 for the Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean/ The Curse of the Black Pearl.
The quotes of the main character from the movie are hilarious. Here I will leave one

Nueva semana en el #mih, Hive Music Festival y mi nueva presentación. Cada semana, los talentos de esta plataforma nos sorprenden con su actuación, gracias a festivales como este. Gracias a los organizadores y patrocinadores por su apoyo, ahora depende de nosotros traer contenido de calidad. Como ya se sabe, soy una pianista de genero clásico. También soy profesora de piano, desde pianistas jóvenes hasta pianistas algo más mayores. En algún punto intermedio, los estudiantes adolescentes, siempre me piden toquar algo "chulo", algunas bandas sonoras de películas o canciones populares actuales. Esta música de la película Piratas del Caribe es una de las que están pidiendo.
Aquí, traigo mi propia versión de esa canción. Lo escribí en Musescore, un programa de notación gratuito. La he estructurado de la siguiente forma: una introducción lenta, luego los motivos rápidos, nuevamente una parte melódica lenta y una parte final rápida. En la mano izquierda, las octavas repetidas rápidamente son dominantes, mientras que la mano derecha resalta la melodía en acordes. Es técnicamente exigente debido al tempo rápido.
Esta melodía fue escrita originalmente por Klaus Badelt y Hans Zimmer en 2003 para la película de Disney Piratas del Caribe: La maldición de la Perla Negra.

Is it you playing? I recognized Remo Vinciguerra's Prelude as the first piece. So the second one, the more difficult version is that you play?
