"Meugang Day" is a tradition for Muslims to welcome the holy month of Ramadan in Aceh, Indonesia. This tradition has existed since ancient times, and is still around today. This tradition is carried out 2 days before Ramadan arrives. Slaughtering animals in the form of cows and buffalo to be distributed to the needy and poor. The purpose of this tradition is for the Acehnese people to share beef and buffalo with people who can afford it. Here are some pictures I took using my Canon 1100D on a Meugang day at a traditional market in the area I live in. Hope you guys like it.
