Sweet Killer
I would say that gecko's are one of the most useful "domestic" animals or even - pets. They eat all the house bugs - like mosquitos, flies, moths & other who bother us & can make a lot of mess in the house destroying our food, clothes, drink our blood & spread diseases. That is why I named this shot - "Sweet Killer" - cause these lizards help people while killing & eating the house bugs.
In Croatian, the geckos we call - "macaklin".
This one I shot in the winter 2013/2014 in Arambol, Goa, India. During that winter, when I spent 3 month in India, in almost every accommodation I lived in, I had these kind of lizards as pets. Sometimes even 2-3 of them.
In Croatia, these lizards can be seen mostly on islands & they also stick to the cities & can be seen in the nighttime when they exit to hunt bugs, mostly on the vertical walls close to the street lights. The interesting thing is that they have special feet with which they can easily walk on vertical walls. They are completely harmless & they never ever harmed any human. So, never hurt geckos & there's no reason to be afraid of them. Keep them safe! Thanks!
My trip to India was the 1st of a kind in my life - so far from home & so long. Before that one, I only travelled Europe & never longer than 20 days. It was the best voyage for me I ever took. I got completely in love with India & its people & I miss it so much! 7 years have passed & I miss it sooo much! But, I believe that sooner or later I will get back to Mamma India!
