Hello everybody! In my city there is an abandoned building that looks like a location for filming horror films. Local residents call it an unfinished Mordor. I decided to take some photos in black and white and show its depressing atmosphere.
Apparently, this building was supposed to play the role of production or office premises. But after it was built, it was abandoned.
The project was unsuccessful. Funding was stopped, and it was decided to mothball the building. Probably it was planned to continue construction in the future. But the future never came.
The unfinished building has become a habitat for homeless people. They began to settle there and reclaim territory. But the state kicked them out.
After the homeless teenagers became interested in the building. They spent their free time there drinking alcoholic beverages. Local residents began to complain about screams and sounds.
Local authorities decided to make the building inaccessible to homeless people and teenagers. They walled up all the aisles using bricks and iron bars.
But even this could not stop desperate people and adventurers. But this did not last long, soon the interest in the building disappeared.
It has been standing for several decades and spoils the appearance of the residential area. It should have been demolished and a new building erected, but no one is interested.
Now this place is called Mordor.
Inside, Mordor looks even worse than the outside. Their small holes can be seen that the building is allowed and perhaps homeless people still get into it.
In black and white, the building looks a little intimidating.
There are various unconfirmed legends among the local residents. But this is more of a myth than reality.
I think it would be a great location to shoot a horror or trash movie. Such buildings stand out against the background of the surrounding reality.
Mordor's only good now is a cat home. They found a place to settle and hide there from bad weather. I wonder what exactly a black cat caught my eye. Nice coincidence.
In a way, Mordor is a local shame and a landmark at the same time. It is interesting to see and condemn. But is it more interesting to see Mordor in black and white? In my opinion, it is in this color that it looks atmospheric.
