Araguaney

in Black And White3 years ago (edited)

Araguaney is the Venezuelan common name for the tree Handroanthus chrysanthus (formerly Tabebuia chrysantha). This deciduous tree (it sheds its leaves seasonally) belongs to the family Bignoniaceae, and flowers during the dry season. You can find more info here.

The tree in the pictures is almost bare, and it is only possible to see a few flowers and some leaves remaining. I could blame it on the windy weather.

This one is my entry for the #monomad contest. I chose to make three different black and white edits (and to show a color one).

As usual, I took the photographs with my Redmi Note 8 and processed them using Snapseed.
