This is my entry for today's #monomad challenge.... It's more of those photographs that I've decided to call "Stolen Stories", although not all of them are captured inadvertently, I do (somehow) end up stealing the moment that I capture in each one of them.
Esta es mi entrada para el reto #monomad de hoy... Se trata de más de esas fotografías que me ha parecido bien llamar "Historias Robadas", si bien no todas son capturadas inadvertidamente, sí que (de alguna manera) termino robando el momento que capto en cada una de ellas.
(1) Old man leaving the village... This elderly man is captured walking along a road that leads to the fields north of the village and also to the mountains... He has a long way to go, but he is surely returning to the tranquillity of his solitude after leaving the village centre.
(1) Anciano dejando el pueblo... Este hombre ya entrado mucho en años, es captado caminando a lo largo de un camino que lleva hacia los campos del norte del pueblo y también a las montañas... Tiene un largo trecho por delante, pero seguramente retorna a la tranquilidad de su soledad tras dejar el casco del pueblo.
(2) Children looking at the pig... In the village, many families still keep their animals in their backyards, in this photo you can see some children going and throwing food to the pigs through a precarious wire fence that separates them from the street.
(2) Niños mirando el cerdo... En el pueblo, aún muchas familias crían sus animales en los patios, en esta foto se puede observar a algunos niños que van y lanzan comida a los cerdos a través de una precaria cerca de alambres que los separa de la calle.
(3) Descent... This family comes down from the mountains to the village, they use a horse to carry the youngest of the children and drag a log of wood that will be used to shore up a wall of their house... They work during the week in their fields in the mountains and come down at weekends to the village.
(3) Descenso... Esta familia baja desde las montañas al pueblo, usan un caballo para llevar al más pequeño de los niños y arrastrar un tronco de madera que servirá para apuntalar alguna pared de su casa... Ellos trabajan durante la semana en sus campos en las montañas y descienden los fines de semana al pueblo.
(4) Family on the corner... I don't really know what was going on, but I took this photo from a distance when I noticed the older woman shouting at the younger woman and the small children... Then, noticing my presence, they were silent and smiled as they waved at me as I passed in front.... :-)
(4) Familia en las esquina... No sé muy bien que sucedía, pero hice esta foto desde lejos al notar que la mujer mayor gritaba otra un poco menor y a los niños pequeños... Luego, percatarse de mi presencia, se quedaron en silencio y sonrieron mientras me saludaban cuando pasé yo por el frente... :-) (5) Dead house... This is a sad story, it always moves me when I see old houses, old witnesses of the history of the village, succumbing to time and change in an irremissible way. (5) Casa muerta... Esta es una historia triste, siempre me conmueve cuando observo las viejas casas, ancianas testigos de la historia del pueblo, sucumbir al tiempo y a los cambios de forma irremisible. (6) Carrying water under the drizzle... This is a complicated village, sometimes water falls from the sky but does not reach the houses through the pipes, so some people depend on the water they can get from neighbours whose houses do have drinking water. (6) Acarreando agua bajo la llovizna... Este es un pueblo complicado, a veces el agua cae del cielo pero no llega a las casas por las tuberías, así que algunas personas dependen del agua que puedan recibir de los vecinos en cuyas casas sí disponen de agua potable. (7) Sheet Music... I have loved this picture from the moment I "understood" it... It is the power line wires full of epiphytes, a pigeon and subtle spider webs between wires... Plus the morning mist with the sun precariously breaking through... Sometimes everything comes together to "invent the image"... (7) Partitura Musical... He amado esta foto desde el momento en la que la "entendí"... Son los cables del tendido eléctrico repletos de epifitas, una paloma y sutiles telarañas entra cables... Además de la niebla matutina con el sol atravesando precariamente... A veces todo se conjuga para "inventar la imagen"... (8) On the way to work... These people are on the roads to the north, on their way to the tobacco fields... They work there collecting the leaves very early in the morning, they like to take advantage of the morning mist to aboit some of sunlight on their backs. (8) De camino al trabajo... Estas personas van por los caminos del norte, hacia las siembras de tabaco... Ellos laboran allí colectando las hojas desde muy temprano, les gusta aprovechar la niebla mañanera para ahorrarse un poco de sol a sus espaldas. (9) Neighbours talking and cat... Well, this is not a very nice photo, not very evocative either... but I love to see this little cat lying on the threshold while its owner chats with the neighbour!... :-) (9) Vecinos conversando y gato... Bien, esta no es una foto demasiado linda, no tampoco evocadora... ¡pero amo ver como ese pequeño gato permanece echado en el umbral mientras su dueño charla con la vecina!... :-) (10) Pablo!... This is my friend Pablo, he's a bohemian, a good soul, a naïve man with a heart as good as a child's... He collects rocks, he loves animals, he knows our nature as if he were an ancient sorcerer... But the best of all is to have him as a friend and from time to time to talk to him and experience the deep calm and simplicity that populates him... I've seen a lot of people, but I've only seen one Pablo around here... (10) ¡Pablo!... Este es mi amigo Pablo, es un bohemio, un alma buena, un hombre ingenuo y de corazón tan bueno como el de un niño... Colecciona rocas, ama a los animales, conoce nuestra naturaleza como si fuera un antiguo hechicero... Pero lo mejor de todo es tenerlo como amigo y de vez en cuando conversar con él y experimentar la profunda calma y simplicidad que lo puebla... He visto muchas personas, pero solo he visto un Pablo por aquí... So much for today's "Stolen Stories"... Thank you very much for stopping by and appreciating...
