Hello #Hive friends!... This is my entry for today's #monomad challenge... Always mixing the urban and the rural, the streets and the countryside... Always stolen a story in any corner where an image appears to capture...

"José and his glass eye"... Just one block from my house I meet José (also known as "Machete") who lost an eye due to an accident many years ago and has been wearing a glass prosthesis ever since. ... José usually raises his left eyebrow in a funny way to highlight the presence of his glass eye, he does it to make anyone laugh, he enjoys doing that... And he has given me this wonderful portrait doing precisely that gesture!...

X2.jpg

"Sorolo again"... You can hardly ever go through the center of town without running into Sorolo sweeping the streets with a huge palm frond... This time, it seems, he was really amused that I did this to him photo...

"Otra vez Sorolo"...

"Perez Carreno Avenue"

"Avenida Perez Carreño"

"Blás's house"

"La casita de Blás"

One of the charming things about my town is how quickly you can go from a rural scene to another a little more urban... Between these two images " Perez Carreño Av." and "Blás's house" there are only about 400 meters of distance... That is a journey of about 5 minutes walking at a good pace!... So, I can go from the street to the field very quickly, it is as if some streets and sidewalks had "portals"...

"Diego"... Curiously, I think it's the first time I've met my friend Diego while I'm carrying my camera... So I've never taken a picture of him before, but there's always a first time!... This Once I found him going to work as an assistant in a "cauchera" (A place where damaged tires are repaired)... Diego has a wonderful character, he seems to be able to laugh at everything and at all times... However, this time He was a bit disconcerted when he realized that I was taking a picture of him... He didn't expect it!

"Diego"...

X6.jpg

"Ramón's old CJ-5"... My friend Ramón had his old Jeep CJ-5 for many years and it was a very common thing to see him on rural roads and in the mountains in his vehicle... But one day Ramón sold his CJ-5 to someone from another town and bought a motorcycle for him... So many of us here missed looking at the old Jeep in town... But this week I saw it again parked on a street here! ... It seems to me that someone here has bought it from the person to whom Ramón had sold it!... Montalbán must have something good, since even the cars return when they leave!... ;)

X7.jpg

"Timeless"... It's hard to understand the effect of the fog on the streets of the town... It seems to me that if I were placed here suddenly, I would think that I have gone back in time a few years... That is something that I always I enjoy and that it provides me with an overwhelming amount of images every day.

"Atemporal"...

"Time to attack the photographer"... Good!... I stole this story from myself in a certain way!... This charming little dog thought it very convenient to attack me while I was crouching in the middle of the street taking a photo... And it's the first time in many years that I get up so quickly and run!...

"Hora de atacar al fotógrafo"... ¡Bien!...

And that's all for today!... Thank you all very much for stopping by and looking at the photos, also for reading my short stories with which I usually accompany these images of my town... I send hugs to everyone...

I like your series about stolen stories

Thanks a lot @terry.aya friend!!!.. ;)

Jajaja...

Saludos y mil gracias de nuevo!

Manually curated by ackhoo from the @qurator Team. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot @qurator team and @ackhoo friend!!!.. ;) Sending bigs hugs!!!

Great shoots. Was it that early or is this a ghost town ? :)

Ha ha ha... :)) Not really... It's just that in the early hours there are few people on the street... However, this is a town that has lost a lot of population (in 2004 we are more or less 35,000 people, today are less than 15,000)... That is due to the migration of younger people due to the economic crisis... But it's still a nice town despite everything... ;)

Thanks for your appreciation and visit @wnfdiary friend!!! ;-)

I love the first headshot. The fog gave the feel of abandon town on the photo 😅 Great capture!

People walking through life are amazing subjects for taking photos and if you add a black and white flavor on top of that, it simply transpose us into an old world. Great photos!
