Hello to all #Hive friends.... In the streets of my town, time continues to pass without too many surprises.... And meanwhile, I keep wandering through its streets and roads shooting a picture to every scene that makes me think... This is my entry to today's #monomad challenge... My "stolen stories"...

Hola a todos amigos de #Hive... En las calles de mi pueblo el tiempo sigue transcurriendo sin demasiados sobresaltos... Y mientras tanto yo, sigo deambulando por sus calles y caminos disparando una foto a cada escena que me hace pensar... Esta es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy... Mis "historias robadas"...

"Tania"... A little girl dressed up to take part in a cultural event in the village, offers a bitten apple to her young mother... At the precise moment when I decide to take this picture, she looks directly at my camera and gives me this charming portrait...

"Tania"... Una pequeña niña ataviada para participar en un acto cultural del pueblo, ofrece una manzana mordida a su joven madre... En el preciso momento en el cual decido hacer esta fotografía, ella mira directamente a mi cámara y me obsequia este encantador retrato...

"Ricaurte Avenue"... Ricaurte Avenue is the "street behind my house" and it never ceases to amaze me how little it has changed in the last 50 years... I think I'm the one who generates a kind of "energy field" to stop the changes"... 😂

"Avenida Ricaurte"... La Av. Ricaurte es la "calle de atrás de mi casa" y nunca deja de sorprenderme lo poco que ha cambiado en los últimos 50 años... ¡Creo que soy yo quien genera una especie de "campo energético" para detener los cambios"... 😂

"There are the damned goats".... Cristobal Machado walks along a country road while chasing a couple of goats that have escaped from the pen... His shadow is cast in a charming way on the dusty path... I love to "steal" these scenes...

"Allí están las condenadas cabras"... Cristóbal Machado camina por un camino rural mientras persigue a un par de cabras que se han escapado del corral... Su sombra se proyecta de manera encantadora en el sendero polvoriento... Amo "robar" estas escenas...

"And obviously, a goat!".... As I was taking the picture of Cristobal chasing his goats I began to feel watched.... And boy, was I being watched!.... These animals are frankly funny, although you have to be careful with the males, as they tend to lunge at walkers when they feel threatened.... Or sometimes also for pure pleasure!... 😂

"Y obviamente, ¡una cabra!"... Mientras hacía la fotografía de Cristóbal persiguiendo a sus cabras comencé a sentirme observado... ¡Y vaya si me estaban observando!... Estos animales son francamente graciosos, aunque hay que tener cuidado con los machos, pues suelen embestir a los caminantes cuando se sienten amenazados... ¡O a veces también por puro placer!... 😂

"Don Pedro in the empty street"... Don Pedro passes by the street every morning, he goes with a slow but determined step, he is going to do what he likes the most, to talk to others about faith and how to do things the best way possible... Don Pedro has long since left behind his 80 years, Parkinson's has not been able to defeat him...

"Don Pedro en la calle vacía"... Don pedro pasa todas las mañanas por la calle, va con paso lento pero decidido, va a hacer lo que más le gusta, hablar a otros sobre fe y como hacer las cosas lo mejor posible... Don pedro hace tiempo dejó atrás los 80 años, el Parkinson no ha podido vencerle...

"Chavo's Neighborhood"... Years ago, a group of unknown people arrived to the town and without saying a word, they appropriated some land from the municipality (something that was very common in our country and was encouraged by populist governments)... Then, those people stayed there and formed small satellite communities to the town and generally of a different profile to the rest of the environment... I took this photo in one that they usually call: "Chavo's Neighborhood" as an allegory to an old Mexican comedy show from the early 70's... Taking pictures here is not easy, people are usually different here and they usually look with bad eyes to a "guy taking pictures" in their precarious streets.

"La vecindad del Chavo"... Años atrás un grupo de personas desconocidas llegó al pueblo y sin mediar palabra se apropiaron de algunos terrenos de la municipalidad (algo que estuvo muy de moda en todo nuestro país y fue propiciado por gobiernos populistas)... Entonces, esas personas se quedaron allí y formaron pequeñas comunidades satélites al pueblo y por lo general de un perfil distinto al resto del entorno... Esta foto la hice en una que suelen llamar: ""La vecindad del Chavo" como alegoría a un viejo programa cómico mexicano de principios de los 70... Hacer fotos aquí no es fácil, las personas suelen ser distintas aquí y por lo general ven con malos ojos a un "tipo haciendo fotos" en sus precarias calles.

"Complicated water"... The water service for human consumption is one of the worst here and water rarely comes through the old pipes, so when it does, people connect small electric pumps to the pipe and start drawing and storing as much as they can.... Here "when the water comes" is quite a "social event" and people gather in the streets around the pumps while talking about everyday things.... We humans seem to be able to get used to everything!.... Even to shortages like these...

"Agua complicada"... El servicio de agua para consumo humano es uno de los peores aquí y el agua rara vez llega por las viejas tuberías, así que cuando llega, las personas conectan pequeñas bombas eléctricas a la tubería y comienzan a extraer y a almacenar toda la que pueden... Aquí "cuando viene el agua" es todo un "evento social" y las personas se reúnen en las calles en torno a las bombas mientras conversan sobre cosas cotidianas... ¡Los humanos parecemos poder acostumbrarnos a todo!... Incluso a carencias como estas...

"Commerce Street"...I walk along that street and I remember it full of prosperous businesses and many people selling and buying things... Now, after a quarter century of economic crisis, all that is left is this: "A dog, a bankrupt grocery store, some unpainted walls and a small rickety scooter"... Times have changed!....

"La Calle Comercio"... Voy por esa calle y la recuerdo repleta de negocios prósperos y muchas personas vendiendo y comprando cosas... Ahora, tras un cuarto de siglo de crisis económicas, solo queda esto: "Un perro, un abasto en quiebra, unas paredes despintadas y una pequeña motoneta destartalada"... ¡Los tiempos han cambiado!...

"Demetrio's kiosk"... Demetrio comes down from the mountains loaded with vegetables that he grows himself, then sells them in a makeshift kiosk on the side of a rural road... Some people from the village come and take what he produces...

"El kiosko de Demetrio"... Demetrio baja de las montañas cargado de hortalizas que él mismo cultiva, entonces las vende en un improvisado kiosko a la orilla de un camino rural... Algunos desde el pueblo llegan y se llevan lo qué el produce...
