Low Visibility — A Monomad Challenge Entry

Greetings, fellow sentient beings!

This here is my new entry for the daily monomad challenge, take a look at the rules within the link.

All right, this is rather moderately low in terms of visibility. But it is going there. in the direction that would lead me to developing a longer series, a collection of low visibility photographs. I have quite a few already and I am working on gathering more.

The city I currently live in being qualified as the most air-polluted settlement in Europe for the pas week kind of helps me get there.

There have been debates, at least on the social media among people I know. Probably elsewhere, too. Who is the greatest producer of air-pollution — industrial plants burning fuels, private automobiles running around, people driving through unpaved areas and bringing dust up in the air? Aye, we have a mini dust bowl forming above our heads as well, it would seem. Or is it a real herald of one?

And there were, of course, the relatively poor, uneducated, or non-caring people who would burn rubbish along with low quality wood...mixed with...rubbish. In order to make some heat for themselves and their homes.

Actually, just on the evening before the snow, when the pollution was still up in the air and temporarily brought down on the ground by snowflakes, I took a shot of a shack burning something that produced some spectacular cloud of smoke above it. Some weather conditions made that cloud flat and kept it there in place, making it spread to the sides...

You'll see it, you'll see it. Soon.

Thank you for viewing! Take care!

Yours,

Manol

Pollution aside, I do like the picture. I like the low-key aspect of it. It would certainly not have the same effect if it was in colour; the aesthetics would be completely off.

Indeed. Next one will be fine in color, though ;) As well a B&W but I wonder if that would keep the charm of the sunset somewhat reflected in the smoke.
