In a recent #monomad post of mine, called Low Visibility I promised to show this scene which actually predates the other one. But it is the same field, the same general direction, photographed from another angle and greater distance.

You can see the smog forming and even looking good in a sick way. And I spoke about small households burning wood mixed with whatever (glues, etc.) producing some serious exhausts on their own.

And when the weather is right (meaning wrong), the smoke can't clear and stays low above the buildings. And it descends upon the streets. And it's not to be taken lightly. But we do take it
lightly since we're getting used to it being around and since its effects are not visible, cannot be felt immediately. We're mostly moaning and doing nothing to change our habits that cause the pollution.

And sometimes it's just weather.

And, yeah, certainly a volcano or a forest fire can bring more harm than a couple of cities with populations in the millions. Which does not mean we're not constantly harming ourselves as well.

Well, cold is dangerous, too. And it's immediate. And it requires actions and for some people burning random stuff is the easiest immediate action. It is a cultural challenge and a challenge to the mindset of generations to look for more efficient immediate actions to solve problems. Not at the expense of the future.

Which can also become quite immediate from time to time.

Thank you for viewing! Take care!

Yours,

Manol
