At that time, traders were preparing to welcome Eid al-Adha, in the middle of the night around 02.00 WIB a large fire occurred which was suspected to be due to electrical shortages from a small kiosk, while all traders had stocked as much goods as possible for the buyers' needs, but Nasip said differently, they must accept the reality even though their losses reach tens of millions of rupiah per trader.
After the fire was extinguished until morning, they could only look for merchandise that could still be saved. The great fire was in a traditional market in Lhokseumawe City, where there were 300 units of kiosk traders who lost their places of sale, such as selling vegetables, cooking necessities, children's clothes and several other types of selling.
