#monomad challenge - sculpted identities (torso)

in Black And White2 days ago

These photos are my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest @monochromes

My shot on torsos in my department today turned into more than a simple documentation of studio work- it became a quiet meditation on form, identity, and artistic intention. Standing among this studies of the human torso, i found myself drawn to the in each piece: some express a firm, masculine weight; other reveal a gentle, feminine softness.yet beyond gender reading, each work carries it's own visual rhythm, it's language of mass, volume and negative space.

What fascinated me most was how every torso occupies space differently. Some expand outward with confidence, claiming the room around them; others retreat slightly, allowing the interplay of shadow and light to define their presence.

This moment made me fall in love again with the beauty of observation . Sometimes, it is in the details- the mass of a shoulder, the depth of a ribcage , the tension of a twist - that we discover why art continue evolve, inspire , and speak across time.

On this shot, i used an iphone 14 to capture the moment with clarity and intention
