Not your average graveyard

This one is a different kind of graveyard. No sadness, just memories. Memories from a time where the fishing boats would depart for tuna fishing from nearby. Those days are gone, but the anchors of the ships were placed in one of my favourite beaches in southern Portugal. A perfect setting for a monomad challenge.

This uncommon view can be contemplated in praia do Barril, near Pedras D'el Rei.

It's impossible not to like this beach. Apart from this show, the warm water, and the long strip of sand, the path to the beach is also a wonder on its own, passing through marshlands filled with birds and other critters.

And for the ones unwilling to walk to the beach, there's a slightly faster way...

How long since you've seen a train like this that is still doing its job? During all the beach season, it goes back and forth, carrying everyone to the beach for a tiny fee.

As for me... I love seeing the train; but enjoy the walking, staring at the birds, and taking photos, so much more. 😉

!BEER
