The life of many seabirds is not easy, sometimes their proximity to human activities cause serious accidents. Crashes against automobiles, contact with electrical cables, and human maltarate can damage them and in some cases cause death.
But age also usually affects them, many other birds lose their sight, which makes them susceptible to blows against stones or other objects in the water.
Fortunately, some of them are found by people who rescue them and give them the opportunity to live their retirement in a shelter. The Pacific Marine Park located in the city of Puntarenas in Costa Rica, attends to their medical and nutritional needs, providing them with a quiet and cozy space near the sea.
La vida de muchas aves marinas no es fácil, a veces su cercanía con las actividades humanas les provocan graves accidentes. Los choques contra automóviles, el contacto con cables eléctricos y el maltrato por parte de las persona pueden dañarlas y en algunos casos causarles la muerte. Pero también la edad suele afectarlas, muchas otras aves van perdiendo su vista, lo que las hace susceptibles a golpes contra piedras u otros objetos en el agua. Afortunadamente, algunas de ellas son encontradas por personas que las rescatan y les dan la oportunidad de vivir su jubilación en un refugio. El Parque Marino del Pacífico ubicado en la ciudad de Puntarenas en Costa Rica, atiende sus necesidades médicas y de alimentación, brindándoles un espacio tranquilo y acogedor cerca del mar.
