Bali Penampahan Galungan Activities

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

My entry this time is about a Balinese family's activities in welcoming the Galungan ceremony. The day before Galungan (Penampahan Galungan), all family members gather and work together to prepare dishes and offerings for the next day's prayers and ceremonies followed by a family feast. Male family members prepare the meals, and women make small square woven baskets made from banana leaves filled with flowers, rice, and snacks for offerings to the Gods.

Let's take a peep at what it's all about.

In Balinese tradition, the art of making handicrafts for offerings is taught to women from an early age.
