My entry for the #monomad challenge.
I visited a little area along the Mississippi River that had a nest of houseboats docked along the shore. The boats were disconnected from the main highway by a fully utilized railroad track. I craftily crawled over the tracks to take some photos while the residents watched me from afar.
Ah...the river life. Maybe someday I'll get there. Thanks as always for checking my photos out.
These are some awesome photos man, I love the look of them in black and white. More dramatic I think! House boat living would be pretty damn cool lol unless there was a storm or something then it’s not so fun. What state was this in? I don’t know much the origins of the Mississippi River so I’m ignorant on that! I used to but not nowadays lol
These are actually in Minnesota, which is straight across the river from us. There are little nestles of houseboats all along the river in this area; there is some commercial traffic here, but the engineers designed this part of the river to be a wildlife refuge, so it can pretty beautiful in places. Thanks! I was going to publish them in color but the black and whites were much more interesting.
I wanna own a houseboat so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crypto millionaire AND a house boat for you too? I like how you think!
This looks so good in black and white. That is definitely one place i'd like to live. You good did good composition too. So done.
Thank you! As I was mentioning down here, I wanted to put these up in color, but the black and white with the sun out in full force...I liked the look of it all. Thanks again!
I love the look too.
Cheers
Thank you @brumest and @qurator ! I always appreciate the support! I'm glad the houseboats turned out ok!
