My personal lens porn collection.

Not sure where i picked up the term " lens porn" in the past i think it was on Dyxum.com.

In short show us the gear you have and use so others can ooh and aww about it, lens porn for photographers.
Small warning this could be the longest post i've posted so far on hive .

There were some people asking me if i could post an overview of my gear so here it is:

I've tried to find a suiting image taken by each lens so here it goes..

So starting top left:

Sony A6000 + 16mm extension tube + m42-nex emount adapter - Helios 44-2 58mm 2.0 lens

Sony A7II, f.. iso 100 1/125

and without the extention tube :

Sony A6000, f.. iso 100 1/160

next : Sony LA-ea4 A-mount adapter + Sigma 105mm DG 2.8 Macro

Sony A6000 , f.. iso 400 1/160

next: Minolta Rokkor 135mm 2.8 + MD - e-mount adapter

Sony A700 , f2.8 iso 200 1/3000

next : My pringles can diffuser ,
"there are many like this but this one is mine "

next : Sony A7II + Laowa Venus 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro with 2.5 - 5x magnification + Godox tt685s flashunit and Pringlers diffuser + Laowa LED ring

This is my latest lens and so far i have been able to make some nice Macro's with it as you canb see on my @stresskiller account and on my @hive-15966 account.

Sony A7II, f8 iso 400 1/160 2.5 magnification

And finally the big lens is a Sigma 150-500mm HSM 5.6 a-mount

Sony A700 , f6.3 iso 400 1/750 500mm

and at night

Sony A700 , f5 iso 1600 1/5 150mm

Midle row from left to right:

Jupiter-8 85mm 2.0 lens with L39-nex emount adapter + 10mm extension tube

next: Sony Sal1855 18-55mm 3.5 [ plastic fantastic ]

Sony A700 , f5.6 iso 250 1/1000 45mm

next : Panagor auto macro converter 50mm + Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm 1.7

old glass can still perform very well as you can see.

Sony A6000 F.. iso 200 1/200

And the Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm 1.7 alone :

Sony A700 f1.7 iso 200 1/1000

Bottem row from left to right :

next : Sigma 12-24mm DG 4.5

next : MC Rokkor 28mm + reverse ring
It looks on the camera like this :

And this is the result you get:

Sony A6000 , f.. iso 100 1/160

and without the reverse ring

Sony A6000 , f.. iso 100 1/40

c-mount - e-mount converter + 25mm 1.4 cctv lens

Sony A700 , f11 iso 200 1/750

very strange bokeh but fun

Minolta a-mount to sony E-mount adapter to use the older A-mount lenses with manual focus on E-mount camera.

and finally the latest addition to the family the Godox-M1:
for a nice colored background

Sony A7II + Laowa Venus 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro with 2.5 - 5x magnification + Godox tt685s flashunit and Pringlers diffuser + Laowa LED ring

or if you want to cheer up the cat

All images are created by me with one of my sony camera's or phone

"Pringlers diffuser" 😅👌 I like this idea ... this are all cool lenses , I have just now 3 of them here in my bag, in long run I get one more, it be Sigma lens 😅👌

if you don't mind giving up on auto focus , the old manual lenses with adapter rings are a very cost effective way to grow your lens collection.

If lens is good then it fill not be problem to not have auto focus :)
But this last sony lens what I was buy E 30 mm Macro .... I see this lens is good when I have Auto focus on, it not be good in manual focus :)

Of course, the Pringles diffuser is my favorite piece. Of course, you have a nice collection of lenses and you make magic with all of them.

This is a long post for you. You even lived to tell. I like the long-length format for you. :) More! More!

Thank you , i do enjoy using all of them from time to time they all have there special abilities and limitations.

i try to make a minimum of 200 words but it doesn't come natural, I'm in the middle of a wednesdaywalk post , but i need to finish that in the morning 1 am here now time to get a some rest for me :)

It's late there. I do a lit of shorter posts, time is not on my side. Well, they are interesting! Keep it up!! :)

That's a wonderful review that only proves that cameras come and go but a great glass (lens) serves forever :)
As the most of my gear is Canon, I had the chance to play and test a few times the 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and I find it pretty good for its price/quality ratio.
You Jupiter 85mm sounds like an awesome portrait lens as well?
For my limited macro shoots, I use a set of three macro converters with different "focal lengths", a reverse ring for my 50mm f/1.4 and a set of four magnifying glasses that are made like filters that I can screw on the filter mount. The max one has 10x magnification, but the focus plane is so thin that it is practically quite hard, if not impossible to have a proper focus without very strong light :)

Putting a bullet point on my list to make a similar post with some new macro shots :)

Cheers and !PIZZA

yeah i thought it would match your new Community 😉 The jupiter 85mm is a great portrait lens, but i hardly do portraits that i can post on hive [ privacy comes first ] i have however post in the past with it .. . .

ahh found it :) on one of my other accounts bokeh samples

I totally get that.

Killer bokeh, indeed! :) Thanks!

Awesome gear @stresskiller and the effects and captures you get with it.
Brilliant.
Thanks for sharing such an elaborate post about it. Very helpful.

I’m looking right now in a totally new gear. My Canon eos 550D with 18-135mm lens both died on my last trip to Cuba before the pandemic. Couldn’t be saved and I had them for a while.
I haven’t replaced it yet, as we couldn’t travel and we had some moves to come first.
I’m looking now for something lighter in weight than I had. I shoot handheld. But my back is acting up when I am out and about for a while.
I like to capture architecture and landscapes but also animals, birds and flowers… I love details and textures… so it needs to have a large range.
Any suggestions? I know it basically is more a personal preference. But happy to look into suggestions.
A friend even said look into mirror less… 🤔

thank you very much , sorry to hear about your gear something light , well the sony a6000 is a light mirrorless camera that works for me and withthe right adapter ring it could even work with canon lenses.

there are newer version of the a6000 on the market but no idea what the prices and differences are at the moment.

You are welcome @stresskiller 😊
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I was myself already thinking about Sony’s but there are so many… 😉 I only had a Canon so far.
Will have a look into the a6000 and what might be the follow ups. Dank je 😉
Have a great evening further.

I can tell with absolute certainty that no one else on this world has the same set of lens and rings :)

🤔 that is a shame because a lot are low budget to get for people that just start.

Nice collection! I have the Helios 44-2 and love the bokeh effect it can make.

thank you , the helios 44-2 has indeed a very nice bubble bokeh just like the Jupiter-8 back , i need to start using them more often again :)

You got some really nice photos~ Not just on macro but others as well. Pretty cool man~ Great post bro. I still like the pringles defuser that one is the sure winner. I gotta try that one day.

Thank you , it's by far my longest post so far , the pringles i've used in many ways before but this setting is so far the best for me.

Okay, I started with the orange gear in the top centre! Even bought and ate chips which I don't really like :)))
I appreciate each of 591 words! Please take a break and have some !PIZZA )

Now the first lens I wanna get is Sigma 105mm DG 2.8 Macro... )

Thanks for that post!

i gave the chips to my daughter , the Sigma 105mm Macro is a very nice lens indeed , hope you will enjoy as much as i did .

Your gear is impressive. You invested a lot of money in it!

it's an expensive hobby if you want to do it right 😉

Wonderful photographs. I have a pot of Pringles. I kept it because it's nice, useful and because I'm a hoarder. Also, although I love those snacks, they are very expensive here. Thanks for sharing.

it helps me to get my flash light where i want it :)

What a great discovery! I would be sorry to break it but, for such good photos, it would be worth it.
