HOPE: @YGGPilipinas and Axie Community

Last December 16, 2021 the Philippines is devastated by #Odette leaving an imaginable damages to lives and properties to the people in Bohol, Negros, Cebu, Leyte, Siargao, Surigao and Dinagat Islands and some places in Visayas and Mindanao as it landfall to eight different places. The power supply is interrupted, no electricity and most of all no signal to contact love ones. All I can recall is the Super Typhoon Yolanda who created havoc in Tacloban City last November 8, 2013, eight years ago but the memory is fresh. Thousands of lives were taken from in innocent child, elderly people regardless of status suffered the wrath of the super typhoon. I still remember the hopelessness like a child crying in the dark to no one is hearing the loud cry for help. And so, the people resorted to looting which I myself experienced it too since I have a mother and a four day old baby to feed. I manage to gather enough foods, water and clothes even toiletries for my family and neighbourhoods. I suffered the fear of having nothing for tomorrow and what is for the table for tomorrow. People from adjacent localities come to Tacloban City for food supplies since we share same feelings that the government have had abandoned us. At night I cried silently as I am staring at the stars directly lying inside our unroofed house, along with some branches of the tree I slept like a chicken because of the scare that some people are rampaging houses for the loot and survival. All those memories give me pain how the government forsake us the supposed Ayudas were pocketed by some public officials.

I can feel the pain of those families directly hit by the Typhoon Odette, the need to survive and the questions where to run for daily needs. But with the initiative of @YGGPilipinas and Axie Community I can see hope for them. There is no more need for them to travel the same path as some of Taclobanons suffered during Yolanda. The positive response it receive from the community is enough to give HOPE to the victims. There is no victim left with no help. The donations is directed directly to the rightful recipient and for sure will give them the boost and the reason to move forward. Regardless of the amount, if given and received it give the feeling of love and never forgotten.

Axie Community and the people behind it is at the same boat paddling forward for tomorrow. Friends hang a bit for help is coming directly to your house.

In behalf of the victims thank you Axie Infinity Community, the donors and the people who created HOPE within heart of each victims. There are no words to express my gratefulness.

“May God the almighty reward you with countless blessings forever”
