Hello everyone dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I share my latest acrylic painting which depicts a glimpse of the ancient village that I visited last weekend. It is the beautiful Tuscan town of Lucignano, an enchanting medieval village with its main tower that stands out, and has been guarding the hills for 1000 years.
So I went back to the studio and after the watercolor I painted "en plein air" last Sunday I decided to represent the same subject but with a different painting technique.

With natural pigments and egg yolk you can paint many passages with chromatic layers, darken and lighten colored surfaces as you like.

For me the most interesting factor of painting with pigments is being able to scratch and mark the surface, create abstract areas and evoke the passage of time on ancient buildings.

Frammenti di storia - pigmenti e tuorlo d'uovo su tela
Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido il mio ultimo dipinto ad acrilico che raffigura uno scorcio dell'antico borgo che ho visitato lo scorso fine settimana. Si tratta del bellissimo paese toscano di Lucignano, incantevole borgo medievale con la sua torre principale che svetta, e fa da guardia da 1000 anni sulle colline.
Così sono tornato a studio e dopo l'acquarello che ho dipinto domenica scorsa "en plein air" ho deciso di rappresentare lo stesso soggetto ma con una tecnica pittorica differente.
Con i pigmenti naturali e il tuorlo d'uovo si possono dipingere molti passaggi con stesure cromatiche, scurire e schiarire superfici di colore a tuo piacere. Per me il fattore più interessante della pittura con i pigmenti è quello di poter graffiare e segnare la superficie, creare zone astratte ed evocare il passaggio del tempo sugli edifici antichi.
