The melancholy of a journey
Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I share a watercolor painting of mine to which I am very attached and which has melancholy as its theme.
I represented a figure from behind who is perhaps waiting to leave and in contemplation while waiting. Going on a new journey is not easy. You have to organize it first in your mind and then physically.
Is our boat with the oar in the water ready to sail?
We all have a boat that can carry us on the journey, it awaits us. I too have waited years to leave the place where I was not well and I went to the port every day to look at the boats, waiting for the fishing boats that returned after days of fishing.
I waited for the ferries with travelers laden with baggage and good intentions, I watched the gulls diving into the dirty waters of the harbor and coming out with a prey in their beak. All this generated in me a continuous melancholy for that new journey that I had to face, with soul and mind.
Suddenly the sky of the port opened, a white light that seemed to come out from inside the clouds illuminated me. I left in my little boat, and now the memory resurfaces like a cold breath and I'm still waiting to be warmed up.
Meanwhile the small boat is waiting for me again.

Malinconia di un viaggio
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un mio dipinto ad acquarello a cui sono molto legato e che ha per tema la malinconia. Ho rappresentato una figura di spalle che forse è in attesa di partire e nell'attesa è in contemplazione.
Partire per un nuovo viaggio non è semplice. Lo devi organizzare prima nella tua mente e poi fisicamente.
La nostra barca con il remo in acqua è pronta per navigare?
Tutti noi abbiamo una barca che ci può trasportare nel viaggio, essa ci aspetta. Anch'io ho aspettato anni per partire dal posto in cui non stavo bene e andavo tutti i giorni al porto a guardare le barche, aspettavo i pescherecci che tornavano dopo giorni di pesca.
Aspettavo i traghetti con i viaggiatori carichi di bagagli e di buone intenzioni, osservavo i gabbiani che si tuffavano nelle acque sporche del porto e ne uscivano con una preda nel becco.
Tutto questo generava in me una continua malinconia per quel nuovo viaggio che dovevo affrontare, con l'anima e con la mente. Ad un tratto il cielo del porto si è aperto, una luce bianca che sembrava uscisse da dentro le nuvole mi ha illuminato.
Sono partito con la mia piccola barca, e adesso il ricordo riaffora come un soffio gelido e sono ancora in attesa di essere riscaldato.
Intanto la piccola barca mi aspetta di nuovo.
