The white tower.
Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Yesterday on a sunny day I thought of taking a hike in the area of a cliff a few kilometers from my city. So I took my bag with the album and the watercolors and went determined to do a painting.
The spectacle of the sea and wild nature immediately struck me.
Agaves, maritime pines, myrtle, rocks with marks of millions of years, and Mediterranean colors within a few tens of square meters.
But what struck me most was a beautiful stone tower, perhaps a military outpost from World War II.
It was there, silent and austere, delicately inserted and wrapped in the natural landscape, ready to be portrayed by myself. So I started to draw it and as I painted it I realized how close the blue of the sea was.
I dipped it in cobalt and ultramarine blue together with the green of the pines.
With the soft colors and above all with the shadows I tried to give the tower the solidity and strength it still represents, with a touch of elegance.

La torre bianca.
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog.
Ieri in una giornata soleggiata ho pensato di fare una escursione nella zona di una scogliera a pochi chilometri dalla mia città. Così ho preso la mia borsa con l'album e gli acquarelli e sono andato determinato per fare un dipinto.
Lo spettacolo del mare e della natura selvaggia mi ha subito colpito. Agavi, pini marittimi, mirto, rocce con segni di milioni di anni, e i colori mediterranei nel raggio di poche decine di metri quadrati.
Ma quello che mi ha colpito maggiormente è stata una bellissima torre in pietra, forse un avanposto militare della seconda guerra mondiale.
Era lì, silenziosa e austera, delicatamente inserita e avvolta nel paesaggio naturale, pronta per essere ritratta dal sottoscritto. Così ho cominciato a disegnarla e mano a mano che la dipingevo mi accorgevo quanto il blu del mare fosse così vicino.
L'ho immersa nel blu cobalto e ultramarino insieme al verde dei pini. Con i colori tenui e soprattutto con le ombre ho cercato di dare alla torre la solidità e la forza che ancora rappresenta, con un tocco di eleganza.
Spero che il mio acquarello vi piaccia, vi lascio gli steps della realizzazione.
