In this post, I’d like to share a step-by-step guide on how to buy or swap tokens within the Hive ecosystem — whether it’s Colony Token, Zing Token, or any other tokens available on Hive-Engine. I hope this guide helps those who are new or anyone who wants to understand the process more clearly.

How are you all doing? I hope God continues to bless us with health and protection. Today, I’m going to explain how you can buy or swap tokens on the Hive platform.
First, you can visit hiveengine.com directly.
You can also use the Hive Keychain application, which is what I personally prefer because it’s simple and secure.
Now let’s take a look at how I do the process in detail.
After accessing the website, the first step is to log in using the menu located in the top right corner. From there, you can sign in with your Hive account.
I personally use the Hive Keychain application, so I simply enter my username and the system automatically connects without needing to type my password manually.
After logging in, you can go straight to the Tokens section on the left side of the page.
Once you click on it, you can search for the specific token you want to buy or swap.
In my case, I’m looking for Colony Token, also known as Arcade Colony Governance Token, so I simply type the name into the search bar to find it.
After finding the token you want to buy or swap, you can click the arrow icon located on the right side. This icon will take you directly to the market page, where you can proceed with the buying or swapping process.
On the market page, you’ll be able to see the latest price, the price chart, and the available options to buy, sell, or swap the token according to your needs.
At the bottom of the chart, you’ll find the menu for buying or selling COLONY. You can choose whether you want to make a transaction using the Limit or Market option.
– The Limit option lets you set your own desired price.
– The Market option buys or sells instantly at the current market price.
Your HIVE and COLONY balances are also clearly displayed, allowing you to see exactly how many tokens you have available before making any transaction.
A layout like this is very helpful for analyzing market movement and deciding the best time to buy or sell.
If you want to buy the token, simply enter the amount of HIVE (or any other payment token) in the available field. Once you’ve entered the amount, just press the Buy button, and the token will automatically be added to your Hive-Engine wallet.
The process is fast and very straightforward, so anyone can do it without any difficulty. Just make sure your HIVE balance is sufficient before making the purchase to ensure a smooth transaction.
Very simple, right? The tokens appear in your wallet within just a few seconds.
