Blockchain-based games are one of my passions, which is why I enjoy playing but also publishing content related to the gaming projects I have decided to play and invest in.
Today I return to write about the Farming Tales game and after 21 days since my last post about this project developed on the WAX blockchain.
I generally try to publish a post on Farming Tales on a fortnightly basis but this month I have been on vacation for 10 days so the time interval since my previous post is slightly wider.

Before covering the main topics, I begin as always with a short introduction about the Farming Tales game.
What is Farming Tales?
(Brief Introduction)
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain.
I decided to start playing and investing in Farming Tales because I saw peculiarities in this game that many other blockchain-based farming games don't have:
- Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
- Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).
Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:

Farming Tales News
August 4, 2022 - August 25, 2022
The best source of information to stay up-to-date on Farming Tales game play is the Announcements channel of the Farming Tales Discord server (https://discord.gg/dRsXTbkXXw), and below I list all the news that happened in the time period between August 4 and August 25, 2022.
The first interesting news announced on August 11, 2022 concerns the development progress related to the New Waxchester update that will introduce multi-player mode in the Farming Tales game.
On August 10, the first Test Build (Closed Alpha) of the New Waxchester was released to Farming Tales partners and content creators.
The first content creator to post content about the New Waxchester update was WarriorLion and at the following link you can see his video posted on Youtube:
Another new development is about the opening of two pools on Taco Swap: https://swap.tacocrypto.io/
The first pool is the SEST / WAX pair which has, at the time of writing, an APR of 71.96%
The second pool is the CBIT / WAX pair which has, at the time of writing, an APR of 55.36%
Adding liquidity into a pool (DeFi) requires a risk evaluation that is related to the concept of Impermanent Loss and therefore before investing in any DeFi project I recommend that you inform yourself and then in this specific case read the documentation of Taco Swap pools: https://taco-2.gitbook.io/taco-swap/rewards/m.e.a.l.-rewards
On August 17, 2022, the new Deflationary Economic System was activated, which made the following two changes:
- the crafting operation related to productive NFTs (animals+gadens) from the Market area of https://play.farmingtales.io/ is only possible for NFTs of common type, and thus the ugrade of the rarity of NFTs of animal and garden types will only be possible by performing the blending operation from https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales.
- the cost of the crafting operation will be increased by 5.947% every month and then every year the cost of each crafting operation will double.
The last interesting and big news announced by Farming Tales is the collaboration with the Rebuschain platform.
Rebuschain will be part of the Farming Tales metaverse and there will be a Airdrop of $REBUS tokens for the Farming Tales community.

The latest change dated August 23, 2022 concerns the activation of the Single Sale System.
It is now possible to select and sell a single agricultural product stored in the Barn.
WAX, SEST and CBIT Market Value Considerations
In blockchain-based farming games, it is always important to do the proper calculations before purchasing a token and NFT, and it is also important to monitor the value of the tokens connected to the game.
There are three tokens connected to the Farming Tales game:
- WAX
- SEST
- CBIT
In the image below you can see the current value of the WAX token, which is the blockchain token on which Farming Tales runs, and the current values of the Farming Tales tokens (SEST and CBIT) and the difference in value against the dollar and the value comparison between the three tokens.
The token value comparison is for the time interval: August 4, 2022 - August 25, 2022.
The last 21 days have not been good for tokens related to the Farming Tales game.
The WAX token lost value but "defended" itself quite well because the decrease in value against the dollar and compared to 21 days ago is -5.49%.
The SEST token, on the other hand, is the token that makes the greatest loss in value against the dollar over the past 21 days: -42.94%.
The CBIT token also lost value in the past 21 days but the loss in value is smaller than the SEST tokens: -24.51% against the dollar.
The WAX token loses value against the dollar but gains a lot of value in comparison with Farming Tales tokens:
- +65.63% Vs SEST
- +25.20% Vs CBIT
Cartel Investment Update: Report #22
My gaming/investment activity on Farming Tales is double because I play two roles:
- I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
- I am a operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.
Cartel is:
- a Meta Gaming Guild
- a Meta Curation
- a Meta Dividend Token
Regarding OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales, my management began on January 29, 2022 and today, August 25, 2022, it has been 208 days, just under seven months.
OneUp Cartel invested in the Farming Tales project in two successive times:
- First investment: 500 HBD (January 29, 2022)
- Second investment: 250 WAX (March 1, 2022)
From the conversion of HBD tokens to WAX tokens, I obtained 1583 WAX tokens, which when added to the second investment of 250 WAX produced a total of 1833 WAX tokens.
1833 WAX tokens is therefore the total amount of tokens I had available to invest in Farming Tales.
I used the 1833 WAX tokens in the following ways:
- Purchase of NFT: 1585.59 WAX
- Purchase of WAX Resources (CPU,RAM,NET): 51.54 WAX
- Purchase of 14970 SEST tokens: 195.00 WAX
- Cost of trading on Alcor Exchange: 0.87 WAX
VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS
The value of the NFT collection of the Cartel project
In the table below you can see the list updated to date (August 4, 2022) of NFTs owned by Cartel with the indication:
- of the purchase prices
- of the payment method used to purchase them
- of the current market prices on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
- of the difference between the purchase price and the current market value for each NFT purchased.
To calculate the total value of the card collection I consider the lowest selling price in the market for each NFT at the time I write my report and for this reason this value is an estimated value.
Compared to my previous report, the composition of the NFT collection of Project Cartel has changed because on August 20, 2022, I sold a NFT Goat legendary at a price of 104 WAX
It was definitely a positive operation considering that today, August 25, the lowest selling price for a legendary Goat is 43 WAX although I consider this value to be temporary because as you can see from the image below there is only one NFT Goat for sale at the price of 43 WAX and the next best selling price is 84.28 WAX.
This is the reason why the value of Cartel's collection of NFT is an estimated value and I think it is very likely that it may rise again in the future ;)
One way or another today I am recording a downward decline in the total value of Cartel's NFT collection because the difference between the total market value of Cartel's NFTs and the total purchase price is -386.70 WAX = -$41.06 (previous report: -94.25 WAX = -$10.59)
The value of CBIT and SEST tokens accumulated and not reinvested
Profit and ROI
In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to get a concise and immediate view of the investment on Farming Tales that I manage for the Cartel project.
In the prospectus the total initial investment cost is the total amount of WAX tokens I had available to invest: 1833 WAX.
Considering the investment solely in terms of WAX tokens the financial results (Profit and ROI) were always positive from May 4, 2022 until today but just today I record the first negative financial result after 4 months although it is a negative result of only -5.30%.
Profit: -97.13 WAX = -$10.31 (Previous profit report: +231.98 WAX = +$26.06)
ROI: -5.30% (ROI previous report: +12.66%)
For the Cartel project, I invested a total of 1833 tokens WAX and got a total investment value (Assets + Rewards) of 1735.87 WAX so far: -97.13 WAX.
In the financial analysis of a blockchain investment, however, one must also take into consideration the value of the tokens used to purchase the assets of the project at the time the assets are purchased.
In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to track two financial results that take into consideration:
- the value of the 500 HBD and 250 WAX at the time of their use
- the current value of Cartel's investment in WAX tokens and in dollars.
The current market situation is still and has been for several months that of the Bear Market and almost all assets (tokens and NFTs) of blockchain-based gaming projects have lost value against the dollar including the Farming Tales game.
The data in the above prospectus particularly shows the negative effects of the Bear Market on the value of the WAX token.
In fact, the WAX token has lost more than 60 percent in value since the day Cartel's investment in Farming Tales began:
WAX = $0.28 (Jan. 29, 2022)
WAX = 0.10$ (Aug. 25, 2022)
My investment plan on Farming Tales (Update)
My investment plan on Farming Tales for the next days will remain unchanged and will be the same as I have been following for several months:
- I will continue to collect in-game rewards
- I will continue to sell the NFT Seed Boxes produced free and daily by the NFT Green House
- I will continue to try to trade on NFTs by buying at low prices to resell at higher prices.
In addition to being a Cartel project operator, I am also a Cartel project investor because I have purchased 62.24 CARTEL tokens (second level tokens of the Hive blockchain).
Generating a profit from Cartel's investment on Farming Tales in addition to being a goal is also a personal challenge and even though the Bear Market has changed my initial investment plans I will try to make a profit in the shortest possible time and to do so will be determined especially by the number of trades on NFTs that I manage to complete in the future.
My main goal on Farming Tales, both in my personal investment and in the investment I manage for Cartel, is basically to transform Farming Tales from a Play To Earn game to a Free To Play game.
Regarding Cartel's investment I will achieve this goal when I have accumulated an amount of liquid WAX tokens equal to Cartel's initial investment (1833 WAX) and when the WAX token returns to the value it had when Cartel's investment began (WAX = $28).
21 days ago there were 598 liquid WAX in Cartel's wallet while today there are 693 liquid WAX (+95 WAX).
It will still take some time to accumulate an amount of 1833 liquid WAX but I am at 37.81% completion percentage toward my goal while 21 days ago I was at 32.62%.

Cos'è Farming Tales?

Farming Tales è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain WAX.
Ho deciso di iniziare a giocare e ad investire su Farming Tales perchè ho visto delle particolarità in questo gioco che molti altri giochi di farming basati su blockchain non hanno:
- Farming Tales ha una bella grafica e utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- Farming Tales ha alcuni NFT che sono collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie (zafferano, miele,...).
Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:

La migliore fonte di informazioni per rimanere sempre aggiornati sul gioco di Farming Tales è il canale Announcements del server Discord di Farming Tales (https://discord.gg/dRsXTbkXXw) e di seguito ti elenco tutte le novità che sono avvenute nel periodo di tempo tra il 4 agosto e il 25 agosto 2022.
La prima interessante novità annunciata l'11 agosto 2022 riguarda i progressi di sviluppo relativi all'aggiornamento New Waxchester che introdurrà la modalità multi-player nel gioco di Farming Tales.
Il 10 agosto è stata rilasciato il primo Test Build (Closed Alpha) della New Waxchester ai partners e ai content creators di Farming Tales.
Il primo content creator che ha postato un contenuto sull'aggiornamento New Waxchester è stato WarriorLion e al seguente link puoi vedere il suo video pubblicato su Youtube:

Il 17 agosto 2022 è stato attivato il nuovo Deflationary Economic System che ha apportato le due seguenti modifiche:
- l'operazione di crafting relativa agli NFT produttivi (animali+gadens) dall'area Market di https://play.farmingtales.io/ è possibile solo per gli NFT di tipo comune e quindi l'ugrade della rarità degli NFT di tipo animals e garden sarà possibile solo effettuando l'operazione di blending dal sito https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales.
- il costo dell'operazione di crafting sarà incrementato del 5.947% ogni mese e quindi ogni anno il costo di ogni operazione di crafting raddoppierà.
L'ultima interessante e grande novità annunciata da Farming Tales è la collaborazione con la piattaforma Rebuschain.
Rebuschain farà parte del metaverso di Farming Tales e ci sarà un Airdrop dei token $REBUS per la comunità di Farming Tales.

L'ultima novità datata 23 agosto 2022 riguarda l'attivazione del Single Sale System.
Adesso è possibile selezionare e vendere un singolo prodotto agricolo immagazzinato nel Barn.
WAX, SEST and CBIT Market Value Considerations
Nei giochi di farming basati su blockchain è sempre importante fare i dovuti calcoli prima di effettuare l'acquisto di un token e/o di un NFT ed è anche importante monitorare il valore dei token collegati al gioco.
I token collegati al gioco di Farming Tales sono tre:
- WAX
- SEST
- CBIT
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il valore attuale del token WAX che è il token della blockchain su cui funziona Farming Tales e i valori attuali dei token di Farming Tales (SEST e CBIT) e la differenza di valore rispetto al dollaro e il confronto del valore tra i tre token.
Il confronto tra i valori dei token è relativo all'intervallo di tempo: 4 agosto 2022 - 25 agosto 2022.
Gli ultimi 21 giorni non sono stati positivi per i token collegati al gioco di Farming Tales.
Il token WAX ha perso valore ma si è "difeso" abbastanza bene perchè la diminuzione di valore rispetto al dollaro e rispetto a 21 giorni fa è del -5.49%.
Il token SEST è invece il token che fa registrate la maggiore perdita di valore rispetto al dollaro negli ultimi 21 giorni: -42.94%.
Anche il token CBIT ha perso valore negli ultimi 21 giorni ma la perdita di valore è più contenuta rispetto ai token SEST: -24.51% rispetto al dollaro.
Il token WAX perde valore rispetto al dollaro ma acquista molto valore nel confronto con i token di Farming Tales:
- +65.63% Vs SEST
- +25.20% Vs CBIT
Cartel Investment Update: Report #22
La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo due ruoli:
- sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
- sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità della blockchain di Hive che si chiama OneUp.
OneUp Cartel è un progetto della comunità di OneUp ed è:
- una Meta Gaming Guild
- una Meta Curation
- un Meta Dividend Token
Per quanto riguarda l'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales, la mia gestione è iniziata il 29 gennaio 2022 e oggi 25 agosto 2022 sono passati 208 giorni, poco meno di sette mesi.
OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto di Farming Tales in due momenti successivi:
- Primo investimento: 500 HBD (29 gennaio 2022)
- Secondo investimento: 250 WAX (1 marzo 2022)
Dalla conversione dei token HBD in token WAX ho ottenuto 1583 token WAX che sommati al secondo investimento di 250 WAX hanno prodotto un totale di 1833 token WAX.
1833 token WAX è quindi il toltale di token che ho avuto a disposizione per investire su Farming Tales.
Ho utilizzato i 1833 token WAX nel seguente modo:
- Acquisto di NFT: 1585.59 WAX
- Acquisto di Risorse WAX (CPU): 51.54 WAX
- Acquisto di 14970 token SEST: 195.00 WAX
- Costi per operazioni di trading su Alcor Exchange: 0.87 WAX
VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS
Il valore della collezione di NFT del progetto Cartel
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco aggiornato ad oggi (25 agosto 2022) degli NFT di proprietà di Cartel con l'indicazione:
- dei prezzi di acquisto
- del metodo di pagamento utilizzato per acquistarli
- dei prezzi di mercato attuali su AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
- della differenza tra il prezzo di acquisto e il valore attuale di mercato per ogni NFT acquistato.
Per calcolare il valore totale della collezione di carte considero il prezzo di vendita più basso sul mercato per ogni NFT nel momento in cui scrivo il mio report e per questo motivo questo valore è un valore stimato.
Rispetto al mio report precedente la composizione della collezione di NFT del progetto Cartel è cambiata perchè il 20 agosto 2022 ho venduto un NFT Goat leggendario al prezzo di 104 WAX
E' stata un'operazione decisamente positiva considerando che oggi 25 agosto il prezzo di vendita più basso per un Goat leggendario è di 43 WAX anche se questo valore lo considero momentaneo perchè come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente c'è un solo NFT Goat in vendita al prezzo di 43 WAX e il miglior prezzo di vendita successivo è di 84.28 WAX.
Ecco il motivo per cui il valore della collezione di NFT di Cartel è un valore stimato e penso che con molta probabilità potrebbe tornare a crescere in futuro ;)
In un modo o nell'altro oggi registro una flessione verso il basso del valore totale della collezione di NFT di Cartel perchè la differenza tra il totale del valore di mercato degli NFT di Cartel e il totale del prezzo di acquisto è di -386.70 WAX = -41.06$ (report precedente: -94.25 WAX = -10.59$)
Il valore dei token CBIT e SEST accumulati e non reinvestiti
Profit e ROI
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per avere una visione sintetica e immediata dell'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisto per il progetto Cartel.
Nel prospetto il totale dei costi di investimento iniziale è il quantitativo totale di token WAX che ho avuto a disposizione da investire: 1833 WAX.
Considerando l'investimento esclusivamente in termini di WAX token i risultati finanziari (Profit e ROI) sono stati sempre positivi a partire dal 4 maggio 2022 fino ad oggi ma proprio oggi registro il primo risultato finanziario negativo dopo 4 mesi anche se è un risultato negativo di solo -5.30%.
Profit: -97.13 WAX = -10.31$ (Profit report precedente: +231.98 WAX = +26.06$)
ROI: -5.30% (ROI report precedente: +12.66%)
Per il progetto Cartel ho investito un totale di 1833 token WAX e ho ottenuto fino ad ora un valore totale dell'investimento (Assets + Rewards) di 1735.87 WAX: -97.13 WAX.
Nell'analisi finanziaria di un investimento blockchain però bisogna tenere conto anche del valore dei token utilizzati per acquistare gli assets del progetto nel momento in cui si acquistano gli assets.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per tenere traccia di due risultati finanziari che tengono conto:
- del valore dei 500 HBD e dei 250 WAX (investimenti iniziali) al momento della loro conversione (token HBD) e del loro utilizzo (token WAX)
- il valore attuale dell'investimento di Cartel in token WAX e in dollari.
La situazione di mercato attuale è ancora e da diversi mesi quella del Bear Market e quasi tutti gli assets (tokens e NFTs) dei progetti di gaming basati su blockchain hanno perso valore rispetto al dollaro compreso il gioco di Farming Tales.
I dati nel prospetto precedente mostrano in particolare gli effetti negativi del Bear Market sul valore del token WAX.
Il token WAX ha perso più del 60% di valore rispetto al giorno in cui è iniziato l'investimento di Cartel su Farming Tales:
WAX = 0.28$ (29 gennaio 2022)
WAX = 0.10$ (25 agosto 2022)
Il mio piano di investimento su Farming Tales (Update)
Il mio piano di investimento su Farming Tales per i prossimi giorni non subirà variazioni e sarà lo stesso che sto seguendo da diversi mesi:
- continuerò a raccogliere le ricompense di gioco
- continuerò a vendere gli NFT Seed Box prodotti in modo gratuito e giornalmente dall'NFT Green House
- continuerò a cercare di fare operazioni di trading sugli NFT acquistando a prezzi bassi per rivendere a prezzi più alti.
Oltre ad essere un operatore del progetto Cartel sono anche un investitore del progetto Cartel perchè ho acquistato 62.24 token CARTEL (token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive).
Produrre un profitto dall'investimento di Cartel su Farming Tales oltre ad essere un obiettivo è anche una sfida personale e anche se il Bear Market ha modificato i miei piani di investimento iniziali cercherò di ottenere un profitto nel più breve tempo possibile e per farlo saranno determinanti in particolar modo il numero delle operazioni di trading sugli NFT che riuscirò a completare in futuro.
Il mio obiettivo principale su Farming Tales, sia nel mio investimento personale che nell'investimento che gestisco per Cartel, è in pratica quello di trasformare Farming Tales da un gioco Play To Earn ad un gioco Free To Play.
Per quanto riguarda l'investimento che gestisco per Cartle raggiungerò questo obiettivo quando avrò accumulato un quantitativo di token WAX liquidi uguale all'investimento iniziale di Cartel (1833 WAX) e quando il token WAX ritornerà al valore che aveva quando è iniziato l'investimento di Cartel (WAX = 0.28$).

Ci vorrà ancora del tempo per accumulare un quantitativo di 1833 WAX liquidi ma sono al 37.81% di percentuale di completamento verso il mio obiettivo mentre 21 giorni fa ero al 32.62%.
