Hace catorce años llegué con mi familia a la Urbanización Nueva Casarapa de Guarenas, el lugar que se muestra al fondo de la fotografía era un terraplén seco y pedregoso, expuesto directamente a las inclemencias climáticas, los rayos del Sol eran insoportables y el intenso calor deshidrataba en poco tiempo hasta al mas entrenado en este tipo de ambiente. El terreno era utilizado como campo de futbol y gracias al cuidado, mantenimiento y sobre todo constancia y dedicación de los entrenadores, jugadores, padres y representantes y algunas personas de la comunidad hoy este lugar ha mejorado notablemente. Este sitio no se parece en nada al campo terroso que yo conocí al llegar. Aunque todavía no cuenta con las gradas, ahora sí se parece a un campo de futbol... Es un campo de Futbol. Desde este humilde espacio deseo reconocer la labor de los directivos y entrenadores de los clubes que hicieron posible la transformación de esta cancha deportiva, especialmente a la gente buena del equipo que le dio a mis tres hijos la oportunidad de entrenar y jugar futbol, me refiero al Club de Muchachos Nueva Casarapa. Mi respeto para el Profesor y Periodista, Locutor y Líder social Néstor Ramírez y a su Señora esposa, la Arquitecto Graciela de Ramírez por su entrega y por el amor que han dado a tantos niños y jóvenes deportistas talentosos, que por mas de 20 años han pasado por su Club.
Fourteen years ago I arrived with my family at the Nueva Casarapa de Guarenas Urbanization, the place shown in the background of the photograph was a dry and stony embankment, directly exposed to inclement weather, the sun's rays were unbearable and the intense heat dehydrated in a short time even the most trained in this type of environment. The land was used as a soccer field and thanks to the care, maintenance and above all perseverance and dedication of the coaches, players, parents and representatives and some people from the community today this place has improved remarkably. This place is nothing like the earthy field that I met when I arrived. Although it still does not have the stands, now it does look like a soccer field ... It is a soccer field. From this humble space I want to acknowledge the work of the managers and coaches of the clubs that made the transformation of this sports field possible, especially the good people of the team that gave my three children the opportunity to train and play soccer, I mean to the Nueva Casarapa Boys Club. My respect for the Professor and Journalist, Broadcaster and Social Leader Néstor Ramírez and his wife, the Architect Graciela de Ramírez for their dedication and for the love they have given to so many talented children and young athletes, who have spent more than 20 years for your Club.
