Mi mamá solía decir:
el Día es todos los días, refiriéndose a cada celebración como el Día de la Madre, Día del Padre, Día del Maestro, Día Internacional del Trabajador, Día Internacional de la Mujer; entre otras celebraciones de reconocimiento que se festejan durante el año. Sin lugar a dudas, todos los días son para reconocer la importancia de las madres, padres, maestros, trabajadores, mujeres... cada día es único e irrepetible, por lo que se debe celebrar con intensidad, sin olvidar que debemos dar gracias a Dios por la vida. Lo cierto es que mi progenitora tenía razón,
el Día es todos los días.
En cada país existen fechas memorables a las que se les da mucha importancia; en Venezuela, por ejemplo, una de esas fechas importantes es el 10 de marzo, cuando se conmemora el Día del Médico venezolano en honor al ilustre Doctor José María Vargas, quien nació en La Guaira el 10 de marzo de 1786. José María Vargas, humanista, escritor, investigador, científico y fundador de la Sociedad Médica de Caracas, grande hombre de luces, reconocido por su excelente preparación profesional, por ser el primer rector de la Universidad Central de Venezuela y fundador de su cátedra de cirugía y por ser Presidente de Venezuela en uno de los períodos políticos y sociales mas convulsionados del país (1835–1836).
La fecha de esta conmemoración fue aprobada por la Asamblea Extraordinaria de la Federación Médica Venezolana, el 10 de marzo de 1955 y a partir de esa fecha Venezuela se llena de júbilo al celebrar y reconocer la extraordinaria labor de nuestros profesionales de la medicina.

the Day is every day, referring to each celebration as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Teacher's Day, International Worker's Day, International Women's Day; among other celebrations of recognition that are celebrated during the year. Without a doubt, every day is to recognize the importance of mothers, fathers, teachers, workers, women... each day is unique and unrepeatable, so it should be celebrated intensely, without forgetting that we should give thanks to God for life. The truth is that my mother was right,
the Day is every day.
In each country there are memorable dates that are given great importance; In Venezuela, for example, one of those important dates is March 10, when the Venezuelan Doctor's Day is commemorated in honor of the illustrious Doctor José María Vargas, who was born in La Guaira on March 10, 1786. José María Vargas, humanist, writer, researcher, scientist and founder of the Medical Society of Caracas, a great man of enlightenment, recognized for his excellent professional preparation, for being the first rector of the Central University of Venezuela and founder of his chair of surgery and for being President of Venezuela in one of the most convulsive political and social periods of the country (1835-1836).
The date of this commemoration was approved by the Extraordinary Assembly of the Venezuelan Medical Federation, on March 10, 1955 and from that date Venezuela is filled with joy by celebrating and recognizing the extraordinary work of our medical professionals.

Los médicos venezolanos merecen nuestro respeto y el mayor de los reconocimientos por su dedicación y entrega al servicio de la salud. Cada uno de ellos dedica y entrega su vida al estudio, a la investigación, a la docencia y al trabajo digno, enalteciendo en todo momento su loable vocación, todo con un solo fin: cuidar la salud y la vida de sus pacientes. En este glorioso día quiero reconocer y enaltecer la mística, abnegación, altruismo y vocación de servicio de dos hermosas y talentosas jóvenes venezolanas, médicos de vocación, benditas por Dios, llenas de su Luz y su Gracia, verdaderas profesionales de la medicina, entregadas a su profesión por convicción y amor al prójimo, me refiero a las hijas que la vida me regaló y de las que siento un orgullo inmensurable y una admiración infinita, las doctoras
Yuruari Arcoiris Guerra Figueroa, especialista en las área de Algología y Anestesiología y María José Malavé, especialista en Cardiología. Vaya para ellas y para todos los honorables médicos venezolanos mis mas sinceras felicitaciones.

Venezuelan doctors deserve our respect and the greatest recognition for their dedication and dedication to the service of health. Each of them dedicates and gives his life to study, research, teaching and decent work, extolling at all times his praiseworthy vocation, all with a single purpose: to care for the health and life of his patients. On this glorious day I want to recognize and praise the mysticism, self-sacrifice, altruism and dedication to service of two beautiful and talented young Venezuelan women, doctors by vocation, blessed by God, full of His Light and His Grace, true medical professionals, dedicated to their profession out of conviction and love of others, I am referring to the daughters that life gave me and for whom I feel immeasurable pride and infinite admiration, doctors
