Un saluto a tutti,
mettetela come volete, perchè si può parlare per ore se l'obiettivo è esporre le proprie idee.. ma davanti ai numeri c'è poco da discutere perchè alcuni dati sono incontestabili e non si prestano a interpretazioni.
Hive e Steem hanno preso due direzioni diverse da due mesi e i numeri di fronte ai quali ci troviamo oggi sono abbastanza inequivocabili: Hive ha sostituito Steem e quest'ultima è diventata al pari di un deserto dove a muoversi restano solo quelli che vengono definiti "rotolacampo".
Nel titolo mi sono ispirato al film del 2009 diretto da Ruben Fleischer, con Woody Harrelson tra gli attori protagonisti che potrebbe descrivere in maniera irriverente e scherzosa la situazione che Steem sta vivendo, sebbene la realtà sia esattamente quella e ci sia ben poco da ridere.
No, non sono esagerato e questa mia riflessione è generata dalla lettura dei post di @penguinpablo (che ringrazio per le sue statistiche giornaliere) e da un avvenimento ben preciso che ha messo a nudo tutte le criticità di Steem..
.. ma andiamo per gradi e vediamo di cosa vi sto parlando.
Non tornerò nuovamente a parlare dell'HF che ha biforcato Steem e dal quale è nata la blockchain di Hive, ne ho parlato allo sfinimento ma se avete ancora delle lacune al riguardo,potere scorrere tra i miei post che parlavano dell'argomento per mettervi in pari e capire esattamente a che punto siamo oggi.
L'avvenimento di cui vi parlavo riguarda la decisione presa da @mahdiyari, Witness di Steem prima e di Hive adesso, che è il creatore di uno dei tool più utilizzati in Steem: steemauto.com.
Infatti lui ha deciso di spegnere questo tool sulla blockchain di Steem e concentrarsi sullo sviluppo del suo omologo in Hive e cioè Hive.vote.

Una decisione che non è stata sicuramente presa a cuor leggero ma che si è resa necessaria a seguito dell'Hard Fork 23 e del "furto" di 23 Milioni di token ai danni di un ristretto numero di utenti; decisione che @mahdiyari si è rifiutato di appoggiare e per la quale ha tutta la mia stima (il mio voto come witness già lo aveva).
A distanza di 10 giorni da questa decisione cosa hanno messo in evidenza i numeri?
Rivolgiamoci nuovamente ai fantastici grafici di @penguinpablo per capire cosa ha provocato questa decisione di spegnere SteemAuto:

Subito dopo lo spegnimento dell'app possiamo notare come il numero dei voti nella blockchain di Steem si è praticamente dimezzato ed ha innescato un trend negativo, mostrando chiaramente che nella blockchain non c'è interazione e che quest'ultima si tiene in piedi solo grazie ai voti automatici.
Infatti benchè ci sia ancora un volume di 100.000 voti giornalieri, bisogna considerare che esistono ancora altri tool di voto automatico attivi; secondo me se anche i proprietari di questi ultimi decideranno di spegnere le loro applicazioni, i voti giornalieri di Steem si potrebbero attestare sotto 1/10 dei voti attuali (che ripeto, sono già quasi un terzo rispetto al periodo antecedente lo spegnimento di SteemAuto).
Quindi poca interazione e pochi voti manuali, sintomo di una blockchain il cui lato social sta lentamente morendo come un pò tutta Steem, perchè più va avanti e più perde pezzi.
Infatti come dicevo qualche giorno da in questo post Another great news: Splinterland moves on Hive, anche l'app di punta presente sulla blockchain, cioè splinterlands, si sta spostando su Hive e questo è stato e sarà un durissimo colpo per Steem.
Qualcuno potrebbe osservare come anche su Hive si utilizzino i voti automatici e questo è assolutamente vero, poco fa parlavo appunto di Hive.vote ma c'è un'enorme differenza da Steem ed è rappresentata dal numero di commenti, numero di utenti attivi e dalle transazioni giornaliere che sono in costante crescita e hanno numeri nettamente più alti di Steem.
Sinonimo che Hive utilizza i voti automatici ma non si regge su di essi.
Questo è un chiaro sintomo di una blockchain sana e in crescita, che a soli due mesi dalla nascita conta già numeri superiori a Steem praticamente in tutti i campi analizzabili, come si può anche notare dalle statistiche di @penguinpablo: Hive vs Steem Stats - Friday, May 29, 2020.
Se da una parte abbiamo Zombieland dall'altra forse abbiamo trovato una "Terra Promessa"!!

Hive and Steem have taken two different directions since two months and the numbers in front of which we find ourselves today are quite unequivocal: Hive has replaced Steem and the latter has become like a desert where to move only those who are defined "tumbleweed".
In the title I was inspired by the 2009 film directed by Ruben Fleischer, with Woody Harrelson among the leading actors who could describe in an irreverent and playful way the situation that Steem is experiencing, although the reality is exactly that and there is little to laugh about.
No, I'm not exaggerated and this reflection of mine is generated by reading the posts of @penguinpablo (whom I thank for his daily statistics) and by a very precise event that laid bare all the criticalities of Steem...
...but let's go step by step and see what I'm talking about.
I won't come back to talk about the HF that forked Steem and from which the Hive blockchain was born, I talked about it to exhaustion but if you still have gaps in it, you can scroll through my posts that talked about the topic to catch up and understand exactly where we are today.
The event I was talking about concerns the decision taken by @mahdiyari, Witness of Steem before and Hive now, which is the creator of one of the most used tools in Steem: steemauto.com.
In fact he decided to turn off this tool on Steem's blockchain and focus on the development of his counterpart in Hive, Hive.vote.

A decision that was certainly not taken lightly, but which was necessary following the Hard Fork 23 and the "theft" of 23 million tokens to the detriment of a small number of users; a decision that @mahdiyari refused to support and for which he has all my esteem (my vote as a witness already had it).

Immediately after turning off the app we can see that the number of votes in Steem's blockchain has practically halved and triggered a negative trend, clearly showing that there is no interaction in the blockchain and that the latter is held up only thanks to automatic votes.
In fact, although there is still a volume of 100,000 votes per day, it must be considered that there are still other active automatic voting tools; in my opinion if even the owners of these tools will decide to turn off their applications, Steem's daily votes could be below 1/10 of the current votes (which I repeat, they are already almost a third compared to the period before SteemAuto shutdown).
So little interaction and few manual grades, symptom of a blockchain whose social side is slowly dying like all Steem, because the more it goes on the more it loses pieces.
In fact, as I said a few days ago in this post Another great news: Splinterland moves on Hive, even the top app on the blockchain, that is splinterlands, is moving on Hive and this has been and will be a hard blow for Steem.
Someone could observe how even on Hive they use automatic votes and this is absolutely true, I was just talking about Hive.vote but there's a huge difference from Steem and it's represented by the number of comments, number of active users and daily transactions that are constantly growing and have much higher numbers than Steem.
Synonymous that Hive uses automatic votes but doesn't stand on them.
This is a clear symptom of a healthy and growing blockchain, which just two months after birth already has numbers higher than Steem in virtually all analyzable fields, as can also be seen from the statistics of @penguinpablo: Hive vs Steem Stats - Friday, May 29, 2020.
If on one side we have Zombieland on the other we may have found a "Promised Land"!!!!

La cosa migliore di tutta la vicenda è constatare la resilienza del DPoS in situazioni scomode, anche se stavolta l’attacco è avvenuto in pratica dall’interno con il ninja-mine, in un futuro per attaccare di nuovo un protocollo DPoS ci vorrà una enorme quantità di stake che farebbe in primis schizzare il prezzo a numeri importanti e in secondo luogo, un eventuale attacco poi va a costare lo stesso stake dell’attacker che viene facilmente “forkato” fuori dalla community, oltre alle varie precauzioni e miglioramenti nel consenso che adotteremo quali ritardo di un mese nel votare witnesses e proposals per la nuova HP...nessuno sano di mente sarà disposto a riprovarci.
Verissimo quello che dici e che ho sottolineato anche in qualche post precedente. Tolto il ninja mining il sistema DPoS appare meno manipolabile a meno di non volerlo fare in maniera plateale, il che presterebbe il fianco alla difesa e alle contromisure.
E meno male direi! Così Giustino una rosicata se la farà! A meno che non voglia un nuovo giocattolo e sposti l'attenzione altrove...
E' esattamente quello che farà.. ma sta tranquilla riuscirà a trarre profitto da Steem sempre che non l'abbia già fatto nei vari pump fatti fin'ora e dalla vendita degli Hive che avrà ricevuto per vie traverse (come ad esempio acquistando Steem negli exchange poco prima dell'HF).
Poco ma sicuro,questi personaggi devono sempre guadagnarci qualcosa alla fine non è certo uno sprovveduto!
